Day-to-day tasks:
• Receive, unload freight, unpack and deliver newly arrived merchandise
• Complete receiving and/or shipping documentation, as required
• Work in several different areas according to your job rotation
• Utilize inventory management systems to scan, process and research merchandise shipments in accordance with our inventory control processes

Part Time or Full Time Local Day Driver –
Peosta Warehousing Inc.

Job Description:
Peosta Warehousing Inc. is looking for (1) individual for a dedicated Part time or Full time Local Day Driver. Our drivers play a vital role in maintaining strong customer relationships. Peosta Warehousing drivers use up-to-date technology along with new equipment to do their jobs effectively and efficiently. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: Pickup and delivery of cargo to and from various destinations within close proximity of the warehouse/distribution center. Maintain logs of working hours or of vehicle service or repair status, following applicable state and federal regulations. Check vehicles to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order. Other duties as needed.

Qualifications: Our drivers must be at least 21 years old. We are looking for drivers with a 1 year tractor/trailer experience. A Class A CDL is required. All drivers must pass a DOT pre-employment drug screen and meet DOT medical requirements. Requires a clean driving record (MVR as well as previous employers).

Benefits:
Our drivers earn a wage of $0.47 to $0.58/mile. All drivers receive health benefits with low employee premiums for full time drivers. Our drivers accrue paid time off to use throughout the year along with paid holidays. Employees can contribute to a 401k with a competitive company match. Drivers qualify for an incentive program that financially rewards safe driving, clean equipment, and strong customer service.

Peosta Warehousing is currently seeking a Fleet Dispatcher to add to our team! We are a warehousing and trucking company, with trucks running throughout the country. This position located at our Warehouse office in Peosta, Iowa. The ideal candidate will be flexible, self-motivated, and organized, as well as a great communicator with internal and external partners.

Job Duties:

Managing truck drivers' schedules and routes
Scheduling freight to be picked up and delivered
Providing shipping details to customers
Reviewing logs of truck drivers
Documenting calls, deliveries, routes and times for pickups and deliveries
Completing paperwork related to shipments, such as invoices
Handling customer complaints and inquiries
Negotiating contracts, rates, and delivery timelines
Skills and Qualifications:

Knowledge of trucking regulations and laws
Understanding of how shipping, trucking, and logistics work
Analytical skills to problem-solve and coordinate difficult situations
Technology skills, particularly in transportation management software
Strong organizational and time management skills
Excellent communication skills to clearly relay information to all involved parties
Ability to stay calm in fast-paced situations
