Cute, but not my mascot.

With so much talk about AI EVERYWHERE right now, I thought it would be a good time to share my feelings about how AI and travel can work together in harmony. It is an amazing tool for ideas, dreaming and asking practical questions.

When it comes to planning though? I still believe that having a person in your corner has great value.

Someone who knows your family.
Knows your budget.
Knows what you loved last time (and maybe didn't).
Knows that your 6 year needs a nap after lunch.
And someone who is there when a plan changes, a flight is cancelled or a ride is broken when you have a Lightning Lane.

Use AI. Ask the questions. Get inspired.

Leave the mascots to the mouse.

Happy 55th Birthday to the icon, Cinderella Castle and Magic Kingdom.

Some opening day stats:

👋🏻 10,422 guests entered the park that day for a 10am opening.
❤️ 5,000 Cast Members were employed by WDW at time of opening.
🎢 23 rides & attractions were open
💰 Parking cost .50 and admission was $3.50.
👟 Magic Kingdom spanned 107 acres, making it the largest theme park at the time.
👻 Haunted Mansion was one of the original rides that opened that day.

I’m not sure where the time goes, but I do know that Libby turned 13 this week 🫣

So, I present to you my 13 reasons why Walt Disney World is great at any age!

1) Mickey shaped snacks are great at every age.
2) The magic is still real ✨
3) Family time has no age.
4) A favorite character is always there for a hug.
5) Dole whip (yes!) 🍍
6) Main Street USA music always hits.
7) Disney has a way of making us all feel like kids again.
8)You can grow up and not outgrow magic.
9) Pools are always open and heated!
10) There’s always something new to try.
11) Libby thinks ears are always a good idea.
12) Because some places hold all the different versions of you.
13) Some of our best family memories have been when we weren’t looking for them 🫶🏻

Disney Dining Tip Tuesday 🍽

Don't plan your park days before you plan your meals.

One of the first things I ask about when building an itinerary is where families would like to eat. This may seem silly to some, but special meals can scaffold your entire day. One family may want to plan a Magic Kingdom day around a makeover at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique followed by dinner with princesses at Cinderella's Royal Table, while a group of friends may want to plan to eat around the world in Epcot during a festival. It is what YOU want.

I am factoring in all the things to make a trip everything you want it to be. An amazing Disney day can be more than what you ride, it can be where you sit, take a breath and reconnect with the people you are traveling with.

Now, where are we eating?!

Hello again.

It’s been a little quiet over here… but behind the scenes, I’ve been busy!

Between end of summer, back to school, my own family travel, my other work and helping clients plan some amazing vacations, I stepped away from posting for a bit.

But I’m ready to get back to sharing all things travel with you. PLUS, Walt Disney World released some pretty great Spring and early summer vacation promotions this morning, so it felt meant to be.

If Disney isn’t for you…Universal, cruises, all-inclusive vacations are ready for you as well.

If you’ve been thinking about traveling in 2027, now is a great time to start planning.

It’s time to board Royal Caribbean’s Oasis of the Seas! 🚢

Today I am trading meetings & creating itineraries for family time, karaoke, late night pizza and some time to just be (maybe 😆).

The travel planner in me will be taking it in and sharing my honest thoughts on all the things. I’ll share the ship, the food, the ports and maybe even some stories from the people who make it all happen…the crew.

Later this week, my sister's family and mine will be setting sail aboard Royal Caribbean's Oasis of the Seas for our annual trip.
