The Flight Ferry Corporation is a commercial maritime, coastal, over the water, medium speed, wing-in-ground effect transportation company. Our wigcraft vessel skims 12-15 feet above the water in an aerodynamic phenomenon known as ground-effect, utilizing augmented lift with our dual-pontoon, positive dihedral outer wing technology. Our 12-seat maritime vessel becomes airborne at approximately 38 mph and cruises at 15 feet above the water in ground effect at 100 mph. Our wigcraft vessel operates anywhere there is an efficient body of water, a coastal waterway, a large river, a peninsula, a bay, or an intercoastal inlet. Flight Ferry will serve as a scheduled maritime wigcraft vessel, carrying passengers, cargo, express mail, as-well-as on-demand (Uber-type) transportation services around most bodies of water. Our “Blue Dolphin”, single tail, BD-12 Wigcraft is comfortable, economical and extremely safe. In operation and accident free for 35+ years making it a reliable, safe alternative to coastal and ocean marine transportation. Our current twin engine BD-12 Wigcraft is built from carbon fiber and metal and outfitted in a 2-crew + 10 passenger seating, with an effective range of approximately 700 miles. In general, our Wigcraft is 60-75% more energy efficient than any twin-engine sea plane or helicopter. At the request of UBER Technologies, we have lowered our takeoff and landing speed to 38 miles per hour with some wing and fuselage design changes. Depending on the area of operation around the globe, our BD-12’s uses five different, off-the-shelf, multi-fuel power engine sources which burn a variety of fuels including mogas, auto fuel, biofuel, diesel and Jet-A. All of our engines are FADAC controlled. Our global operational mission is to offer our Blue Dolphin Wigcraft Series in many different locations and environments which are best suited to our client’s needs. Additionally, we are working with three electric motor companies to power the future of Wigcraft vessels as an alternate solution for electrical and hydrogen powered motors as they become mature, tested and available.
