🤯 Wait?! What?! Composting cell phone cases?! You better believe it.

This week, one of our customers asked if they could toss their into their WasteWell bin. And yes you can. ♻️

We recently created a simple, interactive tool on our site to find out what you can and cannot compost. It's called "Can I Compost...?" (creative... we know 🙄)

In it, we've included info on whether or not you can compost lots of different things with WasteWell and if you can compost those things in your backyard compost at home.

Go check it out and let us know if there's something missing from the list so we can add it. You can find the link in the bio! 👍🏻

We will be there to share more about our composting services and with a couple of experiments for kids to try at home to learn more about the sustainability science of composting.

Did you know food scraps release methane, a potent greenhouse gas, into the atmosphere when they hang out in a landfill? 😤 This little bottle and balloon experiment simulates that chemical reaction and hopefully encourages more people to keep food waste out of the trash (and maybe in their WasteWell buckets 😉).

BUILD A SOILARIUM // Today we hosted the first of three events in our Sustainability Series this summer at the ♻️ This little lady loved all the critters in the nearly finished compost we brought to go along with the mini compost bin she got to build.

We sent her home with educational materials from to observe her soilarium over the next few weeks and watch her compost materials break down into a lovely humus. It was a day of dirty hands and busy brains learning about the science of sustainability. ✨

For our first event --> Using materials developed by we are leading a fun Build a Soilarium Event next Monday, June 21 @ 11am

Come join us to build a mini compost pile. Take your compost experiment home and watch food scraps break down over time.

NO MORE 💩 // Hey Customers - Did you see our latest email? We want cleaner buckets for all 👌🏻 so we are requesting that all customers use brown paper or compostable liners for their buckets or countertop receptacles. Swipe to see what a difference it makes when you use liners. 🌺

We are providing them for free as part of your subscription, so go check your email for details about how to ensure they're dropped off on your next scheduled pick up day.

Did you see you also get a new bucket so everyone starts with a nice clean bucket to go with their new liners? We expect it will make the whole process easier and better for everyone.
