Recycling a message from 2008 to celebrate the return of the Philadelphia Cycling Classic!

The best places to watch are in Manayunk on Main St and Levering St where riders must climb the infamous Manayunk Wall! The best way there is STILL the Manayunk/Norristown Line (formerly the R6) to Manayunk Station. Trains run hourly.

Cowbells welcome.

Today gathered with elected officials and other stakeholders to break ground on a project at 11th St Station that will make the L station fully accessible.

A key element of the $44 million project is providing elevator access from the street level to the eastbound and westbound platforms.

11th St Station will be closed to the public from September 5, 2026 thru August 30, 2027 and the concourse will be closed from 13th St to 11th St for the duration of the project. L trains will bypass the station during this time.

Customers who normally board or exit at 11th St can use 13th St Station which is ADA accessible.

Earlier this week SEPTA General Manager Scott Sauer spent the morning at Wissahickon Transit Center to mark the official launch of Phase 1 of the New Bus Network.

It was a fantastic opportunity to speak directly with customers about how the Phase 1 changes impact their daily commutes and to discuss ’s ongoing journey toward a best-in-class future. This feedback is vital as we continue working to build a better transit network for everyone.

The trolley tunnel will close at 2AM on Saturday, August 29 thru 5AM on Monday, August 31 and all five T lines will be bused for their full on-street portions and diversion routes so that crews can make critical repairs to an electrical substation at 33rd St.

Buses will make the same stops as the T routes.

Riders can transfer to the L at 40th & Market St for eastbound service to Center City and from the L to buses at 40th & Market St for westbound service.

The substation powers the trolley tunnel and the trolley diversion route. The repairs are necessary due to recent water intrusion.
