In 2025, MD Helicopters generously sponsored four scholarships for the 2026 Whirly-Girls Scholarship Program, providing recipients with the opportunity to attend a two-week 500 Series Maintenance Training Course at MD Helicopters Headquarters in Mesa, Arizona.

Valued at approximately $4,915 per recipient, this specialized training offers hands-on technical knowledge and professional development focused on the MD 500 series, helping participants expand their expertise and advance their careers in helicopter maintenance.
By investing in technical training and education, MD Helicopters is supporting the continued growth of skilled maintenance professionals and helping strengthen the future of the rotorcraft industry.

Helping pilots get the most from the technology they rely on every day, Garmin Aviation Training is creating valuable opportunities for women in helicopter aviation. 🚁✨

In 2025, Garmin Aviation Training generously sponsored three scholarships for the 2026 Whirly-Girls Scholarship Program, providing recipients with specialized training focused on maximizing the capabilities of Garmin avionics and increasing confidence in their use and integration.

Training will take place at Garmin’s headquarters in Olathe, Kansas, with travel-related expenses coordinated and funded by Garmin Aviation Training. International recipients will also receive a flight stipend to help support their travel.

Valued at approximately $1,800 per recipient, these scholarships represent an investment in knowledge, proficiency, and professional growth, helping pilots enhance their skills and make the most of today’s advanced cockpit technology.

In 2025, FlightSafety International sponsored a scholarship for the 2026 Whirly-Girls Scholarship Program, providing one Whirly-Girl with the opportunity to complete initial or recurrent helicopter training at FlightSafety’s Helicopter Learning Center of Excellence in Lafayette, Louisiana.

Valued at approximately $6,050, this scholarship includes academic training and advanced simulator instruction with a focus on inadvertent IMC training in either the Bell 206 or Bell 407 Flight Training Device.

This valuable training opportunity helps pilots strengthen critical safety and decision-making skills while supporting continued professional growth in rotary-wing aviation.

In 2025, CAE generously sponsored an ATP Scholarship for the 2026 Whirly-Girls Scholarship Program, providing one Whirly-Girl with a full Sikorsky S-76 initial training course at CAE’s training center in Whippany, New Jersey.

Valued at approximately $22,000, this scholarship supports the recipient in pursuing her ATP helicopter checkride through advanced simulator and ground training. The program includes extensive aircraft systems instruction, systems integration training, and hands-on experience in the Sikorsky S-76C+ simulator.

This opportunity helps pilots build the knowledge, skills, and qualifications needed to advance their careers while strengthening the future of the helicopter industry.

Valued at approximately $39,900, the scholarship includes classroom theory, simulator training, and an Assessment of Competence at Coptersafety’s world-class training center in Helsinki, Finland. The recipient can complete the training on the H145, AW139, or AW169.
