Over the road truck driver Mr. Siamhei B. passed away while offloading at a receiver near Detroit, Michigan. Siam was 52.

Siam's family has asked truckersfinalmile to help get him home to near Honolulu, Hawaii to be laid to rest.

Fun times in trucking… MAINTENANCE… that you don’t wanna have to do. A pretty reputable company tried to tell us today we couldn’t use our tax exemption. 1st saying that’s their policy, then said on parts the same part can’t be tax exempt twice… I told the partner “Tell them to give me an email for accounting.” He was told it’s all in house. Ok, so give me the email address for whoever takes care of the invoices, and or payments so I can email them… still push back. Ok front desk person- send me an email telling me I can’t use the tax exemption and why. The answer quickly changed to “we’ll go ahead and do it this time.” Know your rights small business owners! In writing makes it a whole different legal ballgame!

Yesterday we felt like giving up… then I spoke to my dad. “ Use what you have- it’s right in front of you. I wanna see how you get yourself outta this one, cause I know you can do it!” The most encouraging words I needed- and God moved on the hearts of men (and women) to help us in our time of need. And for that we are grateful 🫶🏽…To be continued

Long post alert: Yesterday was battle of the dispatchers, 2day was Battle with the Brokers! We had a broker trying to cut the rate we were promised for hauling their load. Their Rate paperwork said be respectful to the brokers; non-communication and bad attitudes will have your rate reduced. Oh really… but what about disrespectful broker employees… And what does your surety bond company have to say about these details on your rate sheet? They wanted me to send a new invoice for the “new amount.” I kindly let them know my contract says _____. If you want to pay me less you need to give me a new rate sheet detailing what the deductions are for. KNOW YOUR WORTH AND YOUR RIGHTS INDEPENDENT CARRIERS/TRUCKERS!!’
