We are excited to welcome everyone back after a long stretch of snow days. After checking roads, bus routes, and school sites, we are ready to return to school on Friday, January 30th!

While most roadways are clear, our bus drivers have been directed to use extra caution during morning routes. This may mean slightly slower pickup times. We ask families and our student drivers to take the same cautious approach as we start the day. Please be kind and patient with one another.

Please ensure that students are dressed for the chilly morning as they wait for buses and head into school.

We cannot wait to see our Wildcats on Friday!

IMPORTANT:

Wildcat families,

We hoped to welcome our students back tomorrow. After our team drove to check roads, bus stops, school entrances, and travel routes this afternoon, we found that several main roads leading to our school sites remain snow-packed, with a high risk of refreezing overnight. Keeping our students and staff safe is our top priority, and right now, we cannot confidently ensure safe travel for everyone. Therefore, there will be no school and no assignments on Thursday, January 29th.

In addition to current conditions, the National Weather Service is forecasting a chance of freezing drizzle and freezing fog overnight and into the morning, roughly from 4 a.m. to noon.

We understand schedule changes can be frustrating. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we make decisions focused on everyone's safety.

CV Tech Buses will not run on Thursday, January 29th.

❄️ Winter prep starts now! ❄️
Regional snow routes have been updated for the 2025–2026 season to make sure emergency and main roads stay clear during storms.

Piedmont's designated roads are Piedmont Rd. from 150th to Waterloo, Edmond Rd. from Piedmont Rd. to County Line Rd., and Washington from NW Expressway to County Line Rd.

Please review the routes and share with neighbors—together we keep our community safe and moving! 🚕

Congratulations to our Athletic Director Matt Shellenberger for being nominated to the Gipper Hall of Fame – Class of 2025!

What is the Gipper Hall of Fame?
The Gipper Hall of Fame recognizes Athletic Directors who go above and beyond in service, leadership, and support for their schools.

On December 15th, Gipper will induct two ADs into the Class of 2025. Each inductee receives:
🏝️ A 3-night Caribbean getaway for two (flights + all-inclusive stay)
🌐 Online recognition in the Gipper Hall of Fame
🎉 A special celebration at NADC 2025

They honor ADs who:
