Today, the Smoky Mountains feel a little quieter. 💔

From all of us in the Greg Kiser Trucking family and the Smoky Mountain Big Rig Showdown, our hearts and prayers are with the Parton family and everyone mourning the loss of a true East Tennessee treasure, Dolly Parton.

Dolly may have become known around the world, but here in Sevierville and the Smoky Mountains, she was always one of this community’s own. She never forgot where she came from, and more importantly, she never forgot the people who called these mountains home.

Her life was about so much more than country music. It was about faith, family, generosity, community, and using the blessings God gave her to bless somebody else. Core values we need to use everyday.

We believe that when God blesses you, you reach back and help your neighbor—and Dolly spent a lifetime doing exactly that.

Today we aren’t just mourning an incredible entertainer. We’re mourning a daughter of the Smoky Mountains who showed the entire world what a little faith, a big heart, and humble Tennessee roots could accomplish.

We pray that God wraps His arms around her family, friends, and this community in the days ahead.
The mountains that raised her will never forget her.
Rest easy, Dolly. Your work here is done.
You are HOME ❤️

PLEASE READ! Hope this gives some answers. And this will be our( Kiser Family) last word on this we will move forward! And really hope to see y’all in 2027. 😊.

We love this show and all it means!
We feel it is important to officially share that Semi Casual and the Smoky Mountain Big Rig Showdown will be moving forward separately.

We probably should have made this announcement before posting our 2027 dates, and for that, we apologize for any confusion. We were thinking we could talk about “some” of these things out of the public eye. But here we are.

We truly appreciate Semi Casual and their involvement with the show. We wish them nothing but success as they move forward with their own event and their own direction.

At the same time, we want everyone to know that the Kiser family has poured our hearts, time, hard work, and resources into this show for the past seven years. What started years ago has grown into something that means far more to us than just a truck show. It represents our family, the trucking community, giving back, supporting others, and bringing people together.

Sometimes partnerships come to a point where each side has a different vision for the future. We hate that it came to this, but when it came down to selling the name we have worked so hard to build, or a higher percentage of the show and everything that name stands for—we simply could not do that. We brought them on board without asking for anything monetary. Just excitement to join forces for a great show. They brought several sponsors in and that money was used to do things at the event we decided together to do. And the event turned out great! We both invested in this show as partners do.

So, we are going in different directions.

The Smoky Mountain Big Rig Showdown WILL go on.
Semi Casual WILL go on.

That means TWO shows, TWO opportunities to support the trucking community, and TWO events for everyone to attend and enjoy.

We have been putting on this show for seven years, and that is not changing. The Kiser family will continue working hard, moving forward, and doing what we have always set out to do—put on a great show, support the trucking industry, give back, and bring people together.

We sincerely appreciate every person, sponsor, vendor, truck owner, spectator, volunteer, nonprofit, friend, and family member who has supported us along the way. We hope you will continue this journey with us as we begin the next chapter of the Smoky Mountain Big Rig Showdown.

The show goes on. And so do we. ❤️🚛

What a weekend!

The 2026 Semi-Casual Smoky Mountain Big Rig Showdown was more than we ever dreamed it could be. We truly don’t have the words to express how grateful we are for everyone who made this event such an incredible success. Special thanks to the LeConte event center in Pigeon Forge for their help, beautiful venue and hospitality.

To every spectator, exhibitor, sponsor, vendor, volunteer, and every person who lent a helping hand—thank you. Your support, generosity, and hard work made this weekend one we’ll never forget.

A very special thank you to our amazing nonprofit partners and all of the volunteers who gave so much of their time and energy. Your hearts for serving others were evident in everything you did.

Most of all, we give God all the glory. His blessings were evident throughout the entire weekend, and we are humbled by how He brought so many people together through the trucking community for a greater purpose.
