Camping can be hard on animals who suffer from anxiety. Mac has suffered for his lifetime and as he has grown older we have decided to medicate him so he has less stress during times when we are not at home. This week his piggy brother decided to take his medication from him. Here he is looking a tad loopy!

Well friends.....we are planning our first trip of the season. We are heading to Myrtle Beach with my favorite father and mother in law. I am looking forward to hitting the road! This fall we are planning a Vermont trip if we can make that work!

Ollie spent a little time at Petsmart today and got his picture taken with Chance the dog. They were having an adoption event so we were lucky to make it out of the store without another dog.

Tonight is our last night in Nashville. Dean and I ran out do to do some last minute touring and left the dogs back at the camper. When we arrived back and turned down the street our camper is parked on we quickly realized our "boys" were have a ruckus party! Our truck picked up and connected to Dean's phone that was charging in the camper. We rolled into our campsite listing to "This is why I'm hot". Lol! Boys were rocking out while we were gone! They are good at turning on the TV and changing the channel too.

Last night we went to the Grand Ole Opry here in Nashville, TN. What an amazing experience to be able to do for the first time. I have listened to the GOO for so long and finally got the opportunity. Our seats were up high in the second tier because we bought them a little late to get the really good ones but it was still wonderful. Morgan Evans was our favorite and we were able to go back stage to meet him afterwards and listen to some more of his music in an acoustic session. Really cool guy that seems to enjoy his music and fans. Not sure that I have converted Nadine to a country music fan yet but I'm making progress. She was not familiar with any of the artists or their music but had a great time.

We drove into the city on Sunday night to see what it was like and ended up accidentally on Broadway Street. That's where all of the h***y tonks are and the street was jumping with a party. Traffic was super heavy so it took us a while to make our way all the way down Broadway so we go to experience all of the music streaming out of the bars and all of the interesting party goers. Everyone seemed to be having a really good time. We drove by the famed Tootsies but did not go in because there was no where to park and we had the dogs with us. Visit later perhaps.

We are watching the weather right now to make sure that hurricane Michael does not interfere with the rest of our travels back east. The next couple of days are expected to get much cooler here in Nashville with the over night lows in the 40's. We may actually have to put long pants on again for the first time since May.

Today we packed up and headed for Nashville on Day Eighteen of our trip. The drive was very uneventful except for the traffic getting out of Pigeon Forge. It reminds me of our beach area on the weekends with the endless traffic and stop and go driving. We survived and made it up to the interstate an were west bound and trucking.

The campground here in Nashville is very nice. We have only had a little time to check out the facilities but so far it looks like a great place to relax. The pool is really nice and they have live music poolside a couple nights each week. The weather is going to be on the hot side all week so I'm sure we will spend a little time by the pool just getting some sun.

Tonight we took the dogs for a walk to stretch their legs after riding all day and letting them give the campground a good peeing on. The boys love to mark their territory everywhere they go. When we got back tonight we found that our camper door was locked. Kinda of thought that was strange since we forgot to take the keys to the camper with us on the walk. After a couple of additional checks to make sure we were sure that the door was locked we could now confirm that we were locked out. That is not a good feeling when you are this far from home. After checking all of the windows on the camper we found one that was left unlocked and it slid right open with no problem. I stuffed Nadine in through the window and we were saved from a major problem. Lucky for us her breaking and entering skills really came in handy.

Tonight we are working on planning out the sights we want to see this week. Nashville has so much to see and do it's going to be challenging to figure out what to see first. They do have lots of tour shuttles that take you downtown that look like a great option to get around. More to come.

As you can tell from our previous post we are enjoying Pigeon Forge. Out of the blue we decided to purchase a small travel trailer back in May. Since then we have gone on a few weekend trips and a few short runs. It has been very enjoying so we decided to do a longer trip before Dean I knee deep in taxes. We left home on a whim a few weeks ago and headed to Lancaster then Hershey. We returned home for a quick restock and headed out again for Richmond, next was Charlotte, then Pigeon Forge. We have been living "full time" in our little travel trailer and have loved every minutes (except) the confined spaces that happen when bad weather happened. So, on another wild hair.........while in Charlotte........we traded in our little starter camper -already. We picked up our new Grand Design - Imagine travel trailer on Monday and then headed out on the road! Love the space and the set up! So happy we made the jump.

I have to shout out to Sonny's RV Center in Concord NC. They were amazing to work with, gave us a great deal, excellent customer service! I could go on. If you are in the market for something and are in the the Charlotte/Concord area you should definitely look them up!

Pictures will follow once I get everything organized. Goodnight, Nadine🤠🤠🤠🤠🤠
