Dog MISSING TOWN of NEWBURGH/ WALDEN

Reposting for a friend Ursula Petricek
My dog is missing. His name is Max. We are off Rockcut Road in town of Newburgh/Walden. He may have ran into the woods because somebody was shooting in the woods. So he may be towards Saint Andrews Road or Route 52. He has never left our house before. He does not have a collar on, but he is chipped . If anybody finds him please contact me at 845-492-1664. Please don’t scare him off. He loves to play ball. If you throw the ball, he will play ball with you and I will come and get him. Please share with as many people as you can.

❤️❤️❤️RESCUE FOUND THANK YOU❤️❤️❤️

These two boys were picked up separately as strays in the Town of Plattekill. Both appeared to have been well cared for. No one can say for sure that they were dumped, but no one has come forward to claim either pup. Unfortunately the Town of Plattekill has a 5 day hold, and these boys are going on 4 weeks. At this time the town is requesting immediate placement or they will likely be euthanized, as they do not have any long term accommodations for strays. We are sharing this as a courtesy in hopes of getting these deserving boys to safety before it's too late.

Because they arrived as strays, very little is known about their backgrounds. Any placement should be prepared to give them time, patience, and a slow introduction to their new home while they decompress and adjust.

🐾 **Shih Tzu Mix**
• Approximately 8 years old
• Around 15 pounds
• Calm, laid-back companion
• Walks nicely on leash
• Appears to be house trained
• Up to date on vaccinations
• Neuter status unknown
• Has been around other dogs without issue, though no formal dog test has been completed

🐾 **Shepherd Mix**
• Approximately 2–3 years old
• Around 60 pounds
• Typical shepherd bark, but has shown **no aggression toward people**
• Has been cooperative during handling and daily care
• Vaccination status unknown
• Neuter status unknown

These dogs do not have to be adopted together. They simply both just need a chance.

If you can foster, adopt, or are a rescue able to help, please reach out immediately to the Town of Plattekill at 845-883-7331 Ext. 13 or [email protected]

Even if you can't take one in yourself, sharing this post could put it in front of the person who can.

Please keep your pets safe this July 4th. More pets go missing on this holiday than any other. Your pets don't understand what is happening. To them the world is ending.
