Keep an eye out for ReadyFare machines!

As installation of the new ReadyFare machines continues, access to ConnectCard services may be impacted. We will be posting signs on ConnectCard machines warning riders ahead of that location's ReadyFare installation dates.

ConnectCard machines are disconnected shortly before installation of new ReadyFare machines. Once a ReadyFare machine is installed, that location will only service ReadyFare cards.

ReadyFare machines have already been installed at Penn Station and the PRT Downtown Service Center.

🚨Upcoming Service Adjustments 🚨

Tri-annual schedule adjustments go into affect June 28th, 2026. Riders will see some service changes including:

🚌 75-Ellsworth – The route will be extended to the O’Hara VA Hospital with service along Old Freeport Road discontinued for an improved operator layover location. The 91-Butler Street will continue to provide coverage along Old Freeport Road.
🚌91-Butler Street - All outbound trips will end at RIDC instead of having alternating trips between RIDC and O’Hara VA Hospital. The 75-Ellsworth will provide service to VA. The 91-Butler Street will also be extended to Penn Station to provide layovers on both ends of route to help improve reliability.
🚌93-Lawrenceville-Hazelwood – The route will now end at the Kane Center. Service to Broadview and Johnston will be discontinued.

Some routes will also experience minor trip time adjustments and frequency updates. For a complete listing of the service adjustments, please visit rideprt.org/service-updates.

Riders with questions are encouraged to contact Customer Service by calling 412-442-2000, on X (formerly Twitter) or via live chat at www.ridePRT.org

Today, we began installing the new fare vending machines for the transition to ReadyFare! 🎉🎉

The first machine is being set up at Penn Station. Once testing is complete riders will be able to purchase a new ReadyFare card for $1. Over the course of the next several months, we will be installing more than 80 of these machines system-wide.

Registered ConnectCard users will get a postcard or email letting them know they can sign up to have a new ReadyFare card mailed to them at no cost. Riders WILL be able to transfer funds from ConnectCards to their new ReadyFare Cards.

No change is needed for Ready2Ride users, as it operates on the same platform as ReadyFare and can continue to be used for fare payment.

We love supporting local artists!
While working on a massive art installation for the NFL Draft, Kim Fox (Worker Bird )'s car was totaled. She was able to complete the project using the T to get between her home, studio, and the north shore. As she was patchworking communities in her art, we are honored that our service could provide a string to connect her to the different neighborhoods around the city.
Are you a local artist who uses public transit? Leave a comment, we'd love to hear your story!
