Eastern Elementary School families,

The PTO has added another picnic table and bench to our playground thanks to the Green Tree Plastics- ABC Partnership cap recycling program. The Chisholm family completed the sorting and the Ryan family went for a pickup and tour of the recycling center.

To date the Eastern families have recycled 2750 pounds of plastic lids/tops and received 5 picnic tables and 3 benches.

We are still collecting clean plastic lids/caps. For more information reach out to JR Chisholm.

Wanted to start off with a schedule update.

If you call this week we to schedule you place your order and schedule your drop off & pickup of your items I will be giving you dates to choose from starting with October 6th - October 31st with the exception of October 14th & 21st as those dates are already fully booked.

We are scheduling Monday-Saturday October is the last month of this year to schedule for SATURDAY Appointments Until March.

The months of November, December, January & February will be strictly Monday-Friday Scheduling.

I wanted to touch base with a question I get almost every day.

Do we accept caps & lids without Recycle numbers on them?

In your partnership packet on Page 4 is a list of ACCEPTABLE Caps & Lids.

Many of the Caps & lids do not have a Recycle numbers on them but are acceptable. If you have a CAP or LID that does not have a Recycle number on them but it came off a Water Bottle or Jug, Soda Bottle, Peanut butter Jar, Broth Container, Milk Jug, Whipped Cream Can or Container then it is Acceptable. IF it is on this List it is ACCEPTABLE if it is on the Picture Acceptable list it is Acceptable. If you are not sure take a picture and email it to me at [email protected] and I will gladly look at it and let you know or walk you through the float test.

The stage is set. Eastern Elementary School Fall Festival Saturday Nov 1st. 4pm chili supper, 5 pm room games and raffles, 7pm live auction. Someone is leaving with a Van from Joe's garage. Come out for a great evening and community togetherness. Let's show everyone this little school does big things.
