A little heads up! ☀️🇯🇲

From July 1 - July 8, I'll be officially out of the office for a girls trip to Jamaica with one of my best girls!

If you've been around for a while, you know I always say I'm going to unplug... and then somehow end up answering messages from a beach chair or at the pool. 😅

But this time, I'm actually taking the vacation that I spend ALL year telling y'all to take. I'll be enjoying the beaches, excursions, food, and all the cocktails that I'm always recommending to my clients, and my laptop is staying home.

So if you've been thinking about getting a quote, need to make changes to an upcoming trip, or have questions about a vacation you've already booked, let's get it taken care of before July 1!
I'll post another reminder right before I leave, but I wanted to give everyone plenty of notice.

And don't worry... you'll definitely still see pictures because if I'm in Jamaica with a rum punch or glass of champagne in my hand, I'm legally required to post about it. 🍹😂

The one that started it all!

As the original Sandals resort, Sandals Montego Bay has always been a fan favorite, but after its incredible transformation, it's about to be better than ever.

One of my favorite things about this resort is that you can literally go from the plane to the beach in just minutes! It's located right by the Montego Bay airport, which means vacation starts almost the second you land. ✈️🏝️

It's known for its gorgeous stretch of white sand, crystal-clear water, and one of the few private beaches in the area.
Now it's getting an even bigger glow up!

Big things are happening in Jamaica! 🇯🇲✨

Following Hurricane Melissa, three Sandals resorts temporarily closed so they could get the ultimate glow up, and I am SO excited to finally start sharing what's coming!

First up... Sandals Caribbean Cay, formerly Sandals Royal Caribbean!

This has always been one of my favorite recommendations for couples who want a more peaceful, laid-back vacation. It's smaller, intimate, and has such a relaxing vibe.
Plus, it's only about 10 minutes from the Montego Bay airport, so you can be poolside with a cocktail in hand before you know it.

The Scotts are FINALLY soaking up the sunshine at Sandals Ochi, and y'all... they earned this vacation.

Their trip definitely didn't start the way any of us planned. 😅

Like my clients know, I track flights starting the night before to make sure their plane is at the airport, and on travel day I'm up with them at 3:30 a.m. making sure everything is going smoothly.

Well... at 3:30 that morning I woke up to a text that their flight out of Memphis had been canceled…the reason? The airline said a few different things. Weather, mechanical. Blah blah..
Thankfully, they were already at the airport, so we all jumped into action. They got in line with the airline while I was calling American Airlines and working the chat at the same time to see who could get to someone first.

We got them rebooked and thought we were in the clear... until that flight started getting delayed for mechanical reasons over and over until they were going to miss their connection in Dallas.

Time for Plan B:
I walked them through the process of getting moved to the first flight out the next morning with the gate agent, instructed them on how to get a hotel voucher from the airline for the night, and while they were getting that settled, I was behind the scenes moving ALL the pieces.
✨ Rescheduled their Club Mobay arrival.
✨ Moved their private transfer.
✨ Added an extra night at Sandals so they still got the full vacation they paid for.
✨ Got their return flights adjusted.

The next day? Smooth sailing. 🙌
Now they're relaxing in Jamaica in their Club Level room, and they even scored a partial ocean view. I'd say that's a pretty great ending to a stressful travel beginning.

Could you book your own trip? Absolutely.
But when travel decides to throw a curveball, having someone in your corner who's already working the problem before you've even had your first airport coffee is worth its weight in gold.

I LOVE seeing these two finally getting to enjoy this much-deserved getaway, and I can't wait to hear all about their trip when they get home! ❤️✈️

Seven years ago today, I took a chance on a dream.
I started Treat Yourself Vacations because I wanted to help people experience the same magic I felt every time I stepped foot in the Caribbean. I had no idea where that leap of faith would take me, but I'm so glad I took it.

Over the last 7 years, I've had the privilege of helping so many amazing people celebrate life's biggest moments. Honeymoons, anniversaries, destination weddings, girls trips, family vacations, birthday getaways, and those much-needed "I just need a beach" escapes.

This little business has taken me places I never imagined too,
