I know I’ve been a little MIA the last few days, so I wanted to explain why.
This weekend I got a message that brought me to my knees. A dear friend, fellow travel advisor, and someone I work closely with on a daily basis had a sudden medical emergency and was in critical condition.
There were tears, panic, and moments of not knowing what was going to happen. But pretty quickly, I knew I needed to step up and help the only way I could in this situation.
She’s a lot like me. She LOVES her clients, cares deeply about her business, and worries about the people who trust her with their travel. I knew one of the first things she’d worry about when she was able would be, “MY CLIENTS?!”
So that’s where I’ve been.
I’ve spent the last few days helping her clients, answering questions, working through travel plans, and assisting as best I can with VERY limited access to her information. It’s definitely been a little chaotic, but I know she would do the exact same thing for me without thinking twice.
And thankfully, I haven’t been doing it alone. A few other amazing agents have stepped up to help too, and I’m so incredibly thankful for them. 💕
But the BEST part? We are finally seeing some improvement. She still has a long road ahead but things are moving in the right direction. After the fear of the last few days, that bit of good news has brought SO much happiness and relief.
So if I haven’t been posting, responding as quickly, or showing up here like I normally do, now you know why. But don’t worry, I’m still here for y’all 1000%. Your trips, questions, bookings, and everything in between are still important to me. 🌴
I’m just really thankful I’m able to take some of this off her shoulders while she focuses on getting better. Honestly, it’s the least I can do. I know without a doubt she would do the same for me.
Please keep my friend in your prayers. She has a fight ahead of her, but she’s fighting. And we’re going to keep showing up for her. ❤️
