We have good news! Our Annual Fly-in has been rescheduled for June 6th, 2026, from 10am to 2pm.

We heard everybody who asked for it to be rescheduled, so come out and see us on June 6th! We have another great day of fun for the entire family planned.

Live Music, Texas Best BBQ Plates, and lots of Vintage Airplanes!

Every year, the Port Lavaca Wave proudly publishes a Graduation section featuring the graduates of Calhoun and Hope High Schools. Thanks to the incredible support of our advertisers, we were able to overrun this year’s section so copies could be distributed FREE of charge to parents and students at both graduation ceremonies.

Throughout the weekend, we’ll be sharing messages from the businesses and sponsors who helped make this special edition possible.

If you missed picking up a copy at graduation — or would simply like an extra one — stop by the Wave office and we’ll be happy to give you a complimentary copy while supplies last.

Hello everyone,

It is with a heavy heart that we have to announce another cancellation of our Annual Fly-in due to inclement weather.

The safety of our guests, staff, volunteers and aircraft is always our top priority. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding. We look forward to finding another day to welcome everybody to the Calhoun County Airport.

We will notify everyone here when the next fly-in will be scheduled.

The Commemorative Air Force B-25 Devil Dog will be heading to Port Lavaca, TX, this weekend (May 23rd) for the annual fly-in event at the Calhoun County Airport hosted by Gateway Flight Center. There will be live music by Texas 361, BBQ, and a collection of vintage airplanes for you to tour. Devil Dog will be offering rides at this event (rides are limited), so make sure to book your seat now on the link below to secure your spot:

Good afternoon!

We have some big news! We are happy to welcome the CAF's Devil Dog to our Annual Fly-in on Saturday, May 23rd, 2026. Devil Dog is a North American B-25 Mitchell, made to represent a "PBJ" of the United States Marine Corps.
