We are looking to add to our growing team for the busy summer months. If you're looking for a summer job before you go back to college, or you want work that will get you in shape before you ship off to boot camp, or you want a physical job with a great group of humans, look no further. -Full Time/Part Time, flexible schedule: you pick the days of the week you want to work (we have movers that work 1 day, others move 6 or 7 days/week).
-Starting Pay: $13-16.50 depending on experience and valid drivers license. Movers and drivers can get tipped VERY well for smooth moves and providing top-notch customer service and we also offer extra pay for having to lift particularly heavy items.
-Same-day overtime (anything past 8 hours is 1.5x base pay)
-Regular overtime (anything past 40 hours/week is 1.5x base pay)
-30-minute paid lunch
-Movers are eligible for up to a $.50 raise as incentive to move up our ranks from trainee to Rank 1 (best of the best and acts as a team leader)
-Drivers receive $.50 raise per vehicle they are qualified to drive (some restrictions apply)
-We run a really good crew here. Potential movers should be willing and able to work hard while maintaining a friendly demeanor with customers and their crew. It's not that hard to do, we're pretty awesome here at LM.
Requirements:
-Ability to lift, carry, maneuver, and move boxes and furniture ranging from a couple of pounds, to several hundred (don't worry, we tag team large items and have special equipment to make the job less strenuous).
-Strong work ethic: we don't expect you to be able to sprint boxes up and down stairs right away, but we expect you to be sweating... a lot... and always be pushing yourself to get stronger and faster.
-Ability to communicate effectively: a lot of teamwork goes into moving, especially with large, fun items that have to come out of tight spaces and down steep stairs. So be comfortable with taking and giving directions.
-Ability and willingness to be on your feet and in motion for long periods of time.
-Timeliness: Punctuality should be your middle name.
-A sense of humor: this job is physically and mentally challenging, being able to laugh in the face of hardship makes a job go so much more smoothly for not only yourself and coworkers but for the customers as well.

COVID-19 considerations:
Moving can involve close-quarters teamwork at times, and mask, glove, and sanitizer regimes have been adopted for all moving work (as well as administrative staff). All employees have access to this equipment and are expected to use it appropriately.
