Getting a brand-new Pursuit 32 ready for the water! ⚓️ Before applying bottom paint, we lay down a barrier coat to help protect the hull from blisters. Timing is key, and knowing when the barrier coat is ready for the next step makes all the difference.

A quick look at some of the projects we had going on around the yard this week ⚓️

From repairs and maintenance to bigger projects, there was plenty happening around the shop. Take a look at a few of the jobs we were working on.

Not exactly the kind of damage you want to find on your boat…

This powerboat came in with a bent strut, damaged rudders, and both props taking a pretty serious hit. Getting everything out was a job in itself, but the team got it all removed and ready for the next step.

Now we’re waiting on the new parts and looking forward to getting this one back in the water! 🔧

A little behind-the-scenes look at the craftsmanship happening in the wood shop. 🛠️

From carefully preparing raw teak to applying seven coats of varnish, every step is about creating a finish that can stand up to life on the water. Even the timing matters—varnishing first thing in the morning helps keep dust away and ensures a clean, smooth finish.

This life raft cradle is almost ready for installation and its next fast passage. 🌊⚓️

It’s the details you don’t always see that make all the difference.

Sometimes a boat project is about more than replacing a piece of equipment—it’s about setting the boat up for what comes next. ⚓️

This Nordic Tug 32 is getting a major upgrade with a brand-new generator. After carefully removing the old, corroded unit, Ian and the team are working through the challenge of getting the new generator safely into position and properly connected.

Tight spaces, heavy equipment, careful planning, and a whole lot of precision. 🔧

A new generator is going in! ⚙️🚤

Today, the team is installing a brand-new generator aboard this Nordic Tug 32 after removing the old, corroded unit. With careful rigging, multiple installation stages, and plenty of attention to detail, Ian is leading the project to make sure everything is installed properly and built to perform.

From fitting the unit into place to replacing the raw water and exhaust hoses and completing the electrical connections, it’s all about doing the job right from the start.

A few recent projects coming together in the shop. ⚓️

A clean aluminum repair, a rebuilt mast base, and some careful paint matching and blending.

It’s the little details that make the finished product look right.

A couple projects we wrapped up recently.

Wes got that aluminum repair blended out so well, we could barely find it afterward. Then Darren took the Raider mast, built a new base for the camera, matched the paint, and blended everything back together.

It’s always pretty satisfying seeing the before and after — especially when the finished repair looks like it was never there in the first place. ⚓️

Boat Maintenance Fact ⚓️

Saltwater is tough on boats. Rinsing your boat with fresh water after every saltwater outing helps remove salt deposits that can accelerate corrosion on metal components, fittings, and electrical connections.

A simple freshwater rinse can go a long way toward protecting your boat between trips.
