CVSA’s International Roadcheck is scheduled for May 13-15, 2025.
The Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance’s International Roadcheck will be heavily focused on Hours of Service and tires this year! Make sure you are doing a thorough pre/post trip inspection and report all defects to our maintenance team as soon as possible!

The North Country Children’s Museum has received a generous $20,000 donation from Lavalle Transportation Inc. to support the ongoing fabrication of new exhibits. Company President Randy LaValley presented the donation to Museum Executive Director Sharon Vegh Williams, helping bring the museum one step closer to completing our expansion. The exhibits, currently being built by Ravenswood Studio, Inc. in Chicago, will be shipped and installed on the newly renovated second floor of the museum, enhancing hands-on learning opportunities for children and families across the region.

“We are so fortunate to live in a community with such amazing support,” said Williams. “We could not build this important community resource for kids and families without this generosity. We’re so grateful to Randy LaValley and Lavalle Transportation for investing in North Country families.” With 95% of the museum’s $3.75 million fundraising goal reached, community members are encouraged to contribute to the final phase of the project. We hope to open our expanded space in the summer of 2025, pending the success of our fundraising efforts.

Congratulations to the sponsored golf team of Potsdam Agway! Captain Matt Merriman and his crew, including Ryan Merriman, Dustin LaValley, and Kyle Grant, have once again emerged victorious at the Potsdam Humane Society's "Pets and Vets" golf tournament at the Patridge Run Country Club. This marks the third consecutive year that these talented golfers have claimed the title at this event, which serves as a key fundraising opportunity for PHS. In a display of true sportsmanship, these gentlemen have generously donated their winnings back to PHS, contributing close to $1000 in total. Well done, guys!
