OpenAi, ChatGPT, and all those there AI apps have a place in our world, but planning a trip is not one of them. To prove the theory, we asked it to plan a one week Walt Disney World itinerary for us. We put in basic information that we personally request on a trip intake for and only provided additional information when it prompted. Here's what happened....

🎟 It tried to work in the Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party per our request, but the day it suggested we go in the itinerary it gave didn’t even have a party on the schedule for that day.
💲A budget was eventually discussed and when we ran their suggested itinerary, it was about 4k more than what I allotted with no explanation on the value that extra 4k gave to us.
🐐 It was suggested to spend time at the Affection Station in Animal Kingdom since our kids love animals, but what it didn't say was that Affection Station permanently closed in February 2026
⚡️It suggested investing in fast passes as we wanted to be as efficient with our time as possible and explained that process, but that entire system has since changed how works... yet alone its new name - Lightning Lane Passes.
🛏 One of my prompts was that we were a family of 5 and it recommended a resort that has no 5th person sleeper or suite option.
🏃‍♀️We also think it thought we were marathon runners because the suggested ride plan had us sprinting from one side of the park to the other all day long!

Needless to say - the itinerary and suggestions that looked amazing on the surface, were not practical and really missed the mark.
