For shorter trail rides try our Chico Hot Springs location for 1-hour or 2-hour options. We are fortunate enough to have many repeat guests from our past confirming trips so if you have the slightest interest please call very soon to inquire!

3 weddings, 1 week, and a whole lot of love (and horses) 🎩👰✨

We had the incredible opportunity of being a part of three amazing weddings this week. From hosting unforgettable pre-wedding family trail rides to bringing our beautiful horses to the actual ceremonies, we loved sharing these milestone moments with such fantastic couples.

There is something truly magical about the quiet moments in the saddle ✨

There’s a reason why being around horses feels like a total reset. Horses live entirely in the present moment. Because they are highly sensitive to their environment, they mirror our body language and energy.

Being around them forces you to slow down, leave the outside noise behind, and focus on the little things—the rhythm of their steps or the shift of their weight🌾

When you’re in the saddle, you don’t really have a choice but to be present.

We are incredibly lucky to work with a herd of horses this calm, steady, and dependable. They take great care of our riders, bring a great energy to the barn, and remind us every day why we love what we do🤠

Thankful is an understatement, but we thank them every day🤍

Meet Bailey Stauffer✨ one of the incredible wranglers who keeps our rides going and our horses moving out on the trail!

Originally from Kentucky, Bailey has been riding her entire life and practically grew up in the saddle. She got into the rodeo circuit around the age of 10 and spent her high school years competing🥇

After finishing college six years ago, she took her very first wrangling job right here in Yellowstone. She completely fell in love with the mountains and the lifestyle, and started working for us 3 years ago!

When she isn’t working, you can usually find her hanging out with her own horse and her two little corgi dogs who love the barn life just as much as she does🤠

During the winters, she heads out to Washington to guide horse-drawn sleigh rides, making sure she stays in the saddle and/or behind the team year-round❄️🛷

Bailey is one of the hardest workers you will ever meet, bringing an incredible work ethic and a wonderful, professional personality down to the barn every single day. She truly is a teammate everyone should want working with them🤍

Thank you Bailey, for everything you’ve done the last 3 years, our barn wouldn’t be the same without you! We are so incredibly lucky to call you a part of this family!

Meet Virginia Gushee and her favorite horse here at Rockin’ HK, Kahluah! ✨

Virginia is a true outdoors girl who moved from Michigan to Montana 6 years ago, so she could continue to do the things she grew up loving! She’s been in the saddle since before she could walk and grew up in an outdoors-loving family⛵️

If it happens outside, Virginia is doing it:
⛷️ Skiing
🎣 Fishing
🥾 Hiking
🐎 Riding
🛟 Floating

Rockin’ HK wouldn’t be the same without her. She keeps the office at the Chico Horse Barn organized, helps out wherever she is needed, and is the perfect person to be one of the first faces—or voices—you encounter at Rockin’ HK! 😊

Not only can she handle herself in a barn, but she also graduated with a bachelor’s degree in education and plans on becoming an elementary teacher. She’s so amazing with the kids at the barn, I can only imagine how she is with them in the classroom! 🍎

Thank you, Virginia, for all the time and energy you have shown Rockin’ HK and our animals for all these years. We love you so much! 🤍

Our team kept the wheels turning right through the fireworks, and we are still going strong!

It’s Heather Nall, y’all! Heather got her start wrangling 20 years ago and has been working for Rockin’ HK for 5 seasons—and she shows no signs of stopping!

Heather loves taking guests out on the trails. She uses every ride as an opportunity to teach people about nature, local history, flora, fauna, wildlife, and, of course, horses 🤠

She is a vital part of our operation. Not only is she our manager down at the Chico Horse Barn, but she gives her absolute all to this business, our team, and especially to the horses 🫶🏼

Talk about a woman of many talents—horses aren’t her only passion! She also works as a fishing guide in her spare time. Basically, if it happens outside, you’ll find Heather doing it! 🎣🌲

We are so incredibly lucky to call her a part of this family. Thank you, Heather, for everything you do. We love and appreciate you so much! (And so do the horses! 😉)

Meet Traveler and Pete! ✨

They are new to the Rockin’ HK family this year, all the way from Minnesota! Both are still pretty young, but they are such sweet horses and so curious!

Right now, they are down at the Chico Horse Barn learning the ropes of what it takes to be a trail horse. Stop by and say hi! You might even get to see them out on the trail—being ridden by a Wrangler, of course, since they are still learning! 🤠
