Recently, Montana’s Custer-Gallatin National Forest released a Proposed Action document, which will provide the design content for a new Forest Plan that will direct forest management practices for the next 20 to 25 years. Public comment period ENDS MARCH 5, 2018.

USFS airstrips are an important recreational and operational part of the USFS infrastructure. WE NEED YOUR VOICES to please ask the FS to change all instances in the Proposed Action where “trails and roads” appear, to read: “trails, roads, and airstrips”.

Our information-packed website needs careful tending in several areas. Specifically, we need someone to keep our RAF Airstrip Map and Safety Briefings up-to-date. Could you be the one to join RAF as an Airstrip Map and Safety Briefing Volunteer?

Your job would involve 2-4 hours of website work a month:
- Gather information about airstrips where RAF has made an impact and input information on www.theraf.org.
- Keep existing RAF airport listings up-to-date
- Enter safety briefing information into the Pilot Info section of www.theraf.org
- Ensure that all safety briefings are in a consistent format and up-to-date
