✈️💙 JetBlue’s BlueHouse™ is coming to Boston this Thursday!

There’s something new waiting for JetBlue travelers connecting through Boston!

On August 27, JetBlue will open its new 12,000-square-foot BlueHouse™ lounge at Boston Logan International Airport’s Terminal C — the same terminal used by JetBlue passengers traveling to and from Presque Isle.

The new lounge gives eligible travelers a comfortable place to relax, work, enjoy locally inspired food and beverages, or recharge before their next flight. JetBlue is also expanding complimentary BlueHouse access to eligible Mint® and Mint Flex customers.

Big News for Northern Maine! ✈️

The U.S. Department of Transportation has officially selected JetBlue Airways to continue providing Essential Air Service at Presque Isle International Airport (PQI) for the next two years, from September 1, 2026, through August 31, 2028.

Under the new agreement:
✈️ 7 round trips per week between Presque Isle and Boston
✈️ Service aboard the 140-seat Airbus A220, offering passengers a comfortable mainline travel experience
✈️ An annual federal subsidy of $8.7 million—a significant reduction from the previous contract while maintaining the service our community has come to rely on.

In its decision, the Department of Transportation cited several reasons for selecting JetBlue, including:
• The airline's demonstrated reliability in serving Presque Isle since 2024.
• Strong community support, including the City's recommendation and approximately 350 letters from residents.
• JetBlue's extensive connectivity through Boston and its network of domestic and international interline partners.
• The value of maintaining continuity and avoiding disruption to passengers.

This decision reflects the strong partnership between the City of Presque Isle, Presque Isle International Airport, JetBlue, our residents, businesses, and everyone who took the time to share their support throughout this process.

The FAA owned and operated equipment that caused the flight cancellation of jetBlue flight 206 on 5/25/26 and flight 207 on 5/26/26 has been resolved. All jetBlue flights will resume as schedule beginning with flight 206 on 5/26/26 which is tonight's regularly scheduled flight.

jetBlue Flight 206 scheduled for 5/25/26 and Flight 207 scheduled for 5/26/26 have been cancelled. The reason for the cancellation is that a FAA owned and maintained piece of equipment is out of service. The earliest they can have a technician on-site is late morning of 5/26/26.
