Yesterday’s Tanner The Planter Goes International live sale was an absolute BLAST. 🌎🌿✈️

We spent hours live with you, and almost our entire team got a turn in front of the camera presenting plants. Everyone showed up dressed like tourists, ready to have fun, and completely committed to the theme. 😂 Donuts together in the morning to lunch as a team and hours of plants, laughter, and live selling, it was exactly the kind of day we hoped it would be.

More than anything, it was really special to have one last big day together as a team before we leave Monday for our very first international business trip.🇬🇹

The last time Erika landed in Guatemala City, she was 16 years old. She was a high school student going to live with her grandparents to learn more about her culture and to escape a pretty traumatic divorce situation. She had no idea she was about to experience a place that would become such an important part of her story.

Thirty-three years later, she’s returning to Guatemala City but this time alongside TTP, as a professional speaker and an expert in the houseplant industry, invited to take the stage as a keynote speaker. 🌿🇬🇹. Life is pretty incredible sometimes.

To our team: THANK YOU. Watching each of you jump in yesterday, present plants, make people laugh, embrace the ridiculous tourist outfits, and genuinely get excited about what we do made us so proud. We wish every single one of you could pack your bags and come along with us!

And to our plant people: thank you for showing up. Thank you for shopping, laughing with us, cheering on our team, and sending so many messages of encouragement and well wishes as we get ready for this adventure. Your support is what allows opportunities like this to happen in the first place, and we never forget that.

We’re leaving Monday with very full hearts. ❤️

🌎✈️ TTP GOES INTERNATIONAL! 🇬🇹🌿

Tomorrow is a BIG day at TTP HQ! Join us starting at 8:00 AM CT for an ALL-DAY, ALL-STAFF live sale as we prepare to say bon voyage and head out on our very first international business trip!

On Monday, we leave for Guatemala for a pretty incredible two-part adventure.

PART ONE 🇬🇹🎤
We’ve been invited to be keynote speakers at the Congreso de Plantas Ornamentales, Follajes y Flores hosted by AGEXPORT, where we’ll be closing out the conference!

We’ll be speaking to Guatemalan growers who produce many of the plants that eventually make their way into the U.S., as well as American growers who grow them on for retailers like us.☺️

And the perspective we’re bringing with us? YOURS! Because we interact directly with plant customers every single day, we have a unique view of what people are looking for, what they’re excited about, what they’re tired of seeing, and what actually makes someone stop and say, “I HAVE TO HAVE THAT.” 😂🌿 We’re incredibly honored to bring the customer’s perspective to the folks making happen at the grower level.

PART TWO 🌿🌋
After the conference, the adventure continues! We’ll be partnering with Guatemala’s Department of Tourism (INGUAT) and traveling with a guide to experience some of the country’s most beautiful locations, including places where many of the tropical plants we know and love grow natively.

And OF COURSE we’re bringing you along with us in the form of a travel vlog!📸🌿

We cannot wait to share the plants, the people, the places and everything we learn along the way.
