APG Aviation - Cirrus Aircraft Service Center APG Aviation is an authorized Cirrus Service Center at the Punta Gorda Airport. We offer maintenance/repair on general aviation and light sport aircraft.

APG is a global avionics supplier of navigation, communication, weather mapping systems, radars, TCAS, glass displays, entertainment and WiFi systems. We also specializes in sales and service of Eastern bloc avionics and air frame components. APG is an authorized dealer for Garmin, Avidyne, Honeywell, Bendix-King, David Clark, Mid-Continent Instruments, ACR/ARTEX, FreeFlight Systems, L3, Sandel Av

ionics, Universal Avionics, etc. We are also the newest Cirrus Aircraft Service Center in Florida. We have 20,000sf of hangar space where we install avionics equipment in various aircraft, from war birds to business jets to helicopters. Other services include avionics sales, parts sales, WiFi installation, general aircraft maintenance, repair, annual inspections, certifications, and vibration analysis. APG has over 20 years of avionics modification and upgrade experience on the MI-8/17 and KAMOV helicopters. APG Maintenance & Repair is proud of our A&P / IA staff with over 75yrs of experience servicing a wide variety of aircraft. We have 2 hangars at the Punta Gorda Airport - both offer a customer lounge stocked with coffee, espresso, tea, bottled water, sodas, snacks, & fruit. Other luxuries include an Apple TV, a DVD player with a wide variety of movies, as well as an iPad with free Wi-Fi so guests stay connected. Showers with complimentary toiletries are available as well as shuttle service. APG has 3 locations in Europe and 1 in Indonesia. Memberships/Certifications:

14 February 1991: An unusual incident occurred during Desert Storm, when Captains Tim Bennett and Dan Bakke, United States Air Force, flying the airplane in the above photograph, McDonnell Douglas F-15E-47-MC Strike Eagle, 89-0487, used a 2,000-pound GBU-10 Paveway II laser-guided bomb to “shoot down” an Iraqi Mil Mi-24 Hind attack helicopter. This airplane is still in service with the Air Force, and on 16 August 2016 logged its 12,000th flight hour.
