Am I trying to fit too much into this trip?
Rome. Florence. Venice. Amalfi Coast. And since we’re already over there…maybe Greece too?
On paper, it sounds incredible.
Until you realize every new destination also means packing, checking out, getting to the train station or airport, traveling, finding your next hotel, checking in…and getting settled all over again.
Suddenly, the trip you planned to see everything has you spending a lot of time getting from one place to another.
One of the things I look at when designing a Europe itinerary is how the trip will actually feel, not just how many places we can technically fit into it.
Sometimes another stop makes perfect sense.
Sometimes I’d rather give you an extra morning in Florence to wander with nowhere you need to be, a full day along the Amalfi Coast, or another night in Rome so you’re not watching the clock.
You can always come back.
A great itinerary isn’t about how many places you visit. It’s having enough time to actually experience them.
