Winter hike of Nambe Lake in the Santa Fe National Forest. The streams were freezing over, the trail was covered in snow/ice as we climbed, but the view of Nambe Lake with snow covered Lake Peak behind is a majestic view worth all the effort.

Hiking through the tunnels on the Owl Canyon Loop with no idea what was waiting on the other side, then the trail opens straight into a slot canyon. Lake Mead National Recreation Area, Nevada.
