Zoom Mtg Thurs 8/6 @ 7pm!

Join us for the "usual" agenda. The link is emailed to all registered Travel Sisters (it' free!) and posted on our Meetup titled "Travel Sisters Network RDU.

We will:
- share takeaways from our most recent getaways or trips
- highlight grassroots trips offered by Travel Sisters
- get updates about upcoming / new trips
- break into small groups based on trips OR
- head to the small group dedicated to catching up / socializing OR
- stay in the main room for meet/greet time and Q&A with Angie
- small groups share feedback for Angie to actualize

Come for any or all parts!

We post on four different platforms so driving folks to a single RSVP isn't a huge priority - the meeting is happening and the number that shows up is the perfect amount : ) We generally have 15-30 people in any given Zoom meeting.

We had a great in person meeting today with four brand new sisters in attendance PLUS some of our amazing “varsity team” members. I forgot to take a picture, so instead here’s a pic of the evening paddle we planned at the meeting and executed this evening 😆

After lots of trial and error, this is the recommended plane sleeping position for the Travel Sisters Network 😂💕😴💤

Things that make Unico 20 87 stand out: it was designed by an all female team and has an authentic vibe. A simple example: plants throughout property are real. The food and drinks are really, really good. Each room gets $200 resort credit each night to use (service fees 35% and gratuities not included) It’s a “spa resort” - there’s a quiet pool, mocktails and cocktails on offer, tons of services offered. Every room has a balcony, a concierge that is working for you 9-5 to set up appointments and reservations. Twice daily housekeeping, 24 hour room service.

Angie here: my takeaway from my business trip is that the TSN spoils you, because we solve problems together quickly. For example, in my solo room, I never figured out how all the lights worked. We would have cracked that code in the WhatsApp group first 5 min. I didn’t get my tip money together before departure and it plagued me. At the airport, I had to take my luggage with me to the bathroom to keep it secure. I had to make actual plans if I didn’t want to eat alone. The shower fixtures befuddled me, as did the thermostat. It’s really all the little things that make our network a big thing. And today I’m grateful my next trip is with TSN!

We toured Hard Rock Riviera Maya today and wow it’s a totally different vibe. Music & entertainment focused (think two concerts each night) , two family sections, one adults only section, all inclusive. Their beach has a sargassum mitigation system. Huge kids area. One unique thing is they do not take dining reservations at all.

This morning we toured another AIC property called AVA Cancún. A huge contrast to the adults only spa vibe at Unico. It’s a new HUGE property that’s super family friendly. 1600 rooms. All Inclusive. Two towers- one geared towards adults/ young adults, one geared at younger kids- so a nice multigen spot. Endless activities (some at additional cost, some not.) 5 min from airport. The value of having an agent? Knowing room types, bed configurations, when and how to book dining, inclusions, explaining resort credit ($200/day! ), etc.

Angie here at Unico 20 87 all inclusive Riviera Maya doing the Lord’s work for the people 😆 Did I know a sunrise bath after yoga on my balcony was a thing I needed? No I did not. But now I do. 🙌🌴🫧☀️And the BIRDS serenading?! They just make the sweetest sounds?! 💕

Angie here: somehow I’m 55 years old and at my FIRST all inclusive resort?! Unico 20 87 is the resort in Cancun Riviera Maya. Wow! So beautiful! The big takeaway is the default answer is YES. Can I drink the things in my mini fridge? YES. Can I order two desserts? YES. Can I get an espresso martini? YES. Can I take a bath on my balcony? Also YES! Can’t wait to get out there and play tomorrow! 😊🌴💕
