2PawsUp was started in early 2007 by a small group helping to transport animals from the Harnett County Shelter to people who wanted to adopt but could not make it to the shelter themselves. After months of this service, we expanded our services to a full adoption agency. We have been approved as a North Carolina 501c3 non-profit organization. We are a devoted team of animal-loving philanthropists with a desire to make a difference in the North Carolina community.

Unfortunately we are running out of space and need them to be fostered before we can save more. If you or someone you know has been thinking about trying out fostering- THIS IS YOUR SIGN. 🙏
This is the perfect time to foster. School is back in session, holidays are coming up, and you can convince that aunt visiting for Thanksgiving that she needs to adopt your foster cat. 😉

Looking for a lap cat who wants to shower you with affection and attention all day long? Meet Dorothy!

Dorothy is currently staying at an animal hospital, but she’s making the most of her time there! Her favorite part of the day is greeting the staff every morning and, of course, enjoying her daily afternoon Churu. 😻

This sweet girl loves being around people and would much rather spend her days curled up with her very own family than waiting in boarding.

Meet Joe! This handsome guy was found all alone, wandering the world without his mom or any siblings. Thankfully, a kind person found him, and he made his way into our rescue where he's been surrounded with love ever since. Because of his rough start, Joe is still learning that new people are safe. Once he is comfortable he becomes a very vocal and cuddly kitty. He talks a lot when he is hungry and is very excited about Churu treats. He also talks when he being petted, when he is not purring or licking his cuddler. He loves to cuddle with his foster mom and other cats in the home. He always wants to be with someone getting loved on. He would love a home that will give him time to get adjusted and has another cat for him to snuggle with.
