There’s something incredibly special about experiencing wildlife conservation beyond the traditional safari 🌿
From assisting vets during wildlife procedures and learning how sedation darts are prepared, to pregnancy scans, treating an injured eland, relocating buffalo, and learning how telemetry is used to track African wild dogs, every experience offers a glimpse into just how much knowledge, care, and teamwork goes into protecting Africa’s wildlife.
And sometimes, it’s the little moments in between, like spotting a beautiful Lilac-breasted Roller, that remind you just how extraordinary the African bush really is.
We’re incredibly grateful to people like Dr Maria Caiado, Dr Andy Fraser and the team at Rooiberg Veterinary Services, as well as the Waterberg Wild Dog Initiative, for the work they do and for sharing these experiences and knowledge with others. 🌾
