Repaired some severe gel coat damage to the front corners on 2023 Nautique G21. Feels wrong grinding half dollar size gouges into a 300k boat. Really happy with how it turned out.

Worst case scenario. Gimbal bearing blewup and wipped out sealing surface for uJoint bellow on transom assembly, and some expensive volvo penta parts. Fix required engine out, and rebuild of transom assembly.

Stern drive boat owners it’s important to service the out drive. Half the service is removing the out drive from the boat and inspecting rubber bellows, gimbal bearing, u-joints, engine alignment, etc. Prolong use of boat with a bad ujoint or gimbal bearing could cost you big $$$ down the line.

Seeing a lot of this. Indmar Raptor engines with loose motor mounts. In these pictures the rear transmission motor mounts are really loose. Notice the gap between the mount and the transmission. One customer had their engine drop in the bilge before ever bringing the boat to my shop. This is a 2018 Malibu. Seen it on a 2019 Malibu, 2018 Tige last week, and 2014 & 2017 MB. Checking this is part of the annual service. Service is more than an oil and impeller change.
