Cameron County Judge Eddie Treviño, Jr., joins Chairman J. Bruce Bugg, Jr., from the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT), respective Commissioners Alvin New and Robert C. Vaughn, and Executive Director Marc D. Williams, in congratulating and welcoming Rio Grande Valley native Alex Meade to the Texas Transportation Commission during today’s commission meeting held in Austin, Texas.

“With utmost respect and with great esteem, today I shared a few words in honor of Alex Meade’s official appointment as Commissioner to our State’s Transportation Commission. Alex joins this commission representing the vision of the Rio Grande Valley and the border community, as a voice for the transportation and improvement needs not only of our area but of our entire State. Both his private and public sector knowledge will be a pivotal asset to the infrastructure and transportation improvements our great State looks forward to accomplishing,” stated Cameron County Judge Eddie Treviño, Jr.

Accompanying Cameron County Judge Eddie Treviño, Jr., was Cameron County Commissioner Precinct 2, Joey Lopez, Cameron County Commissioner Precinct 3, David A. Garza, Vice Chairman of the Cameron County Regional Mobility Authority (CCRMA), Michael Scaief, Cameron County Administrator and CCRMA Executive Director, Pete Sepulveda, Jr., and RGV MPO Executive Director, Andrew Canon.
