SOLD!
Mitch called in March and asked me to sell his 1948 Cessna. He has owned and flown it for 19 years. A KC-135 and 757 pilot, he bought it without a tailwheel endorsement, earned it in this airplane, and to this day this is the only tailwheel airplane he’s soloed!
19 years of careful stewardship, no bent metal, still looking as good as the day he bought it, an engine swap, half dozen trips to Oshkosh, and now finally passing it on to a worthy new caretaker. Owners like this deserve recognition, especially when many airplanes sit idle or owners refuse to let them go.
Now up to the plate for 33V is Laura Benton, who had been looking for a good 195. She is the president of Ladies Love Taildraggers and also owns another Cessna, her mother’s 170.
