Moss Adventures

Moss Adventures Moss Adventures is an Experiential Expedition Travel company.

In 1955, my father, Bill Moss, designed the Pop-Tent, today widely credited with changing the world of camping. In 1975, he and my mother, Marilyn Moss, co-founded Moss TentWorks in Camden, Maine, to design and produce innovative, high-performance camping tents which, also helped to mold the future for expedition and camping tents. Moss Basecamp is inspired by what my parents had created for the world of adventurers, explorers and dreamers.

Great things in the horizon

Outdoor lovers in northern New Mexico have a new playground: the 2,224-acre Bartlett Mesa Ranch, now one of the New Mexico Department of Game and Fish's Wildlife Management Areas, complete with hiking and wildlife-viewing opportunities.

The Nature Conservancy provided matching funds as part of the purchase.

Located adjacent to Sugarite Canyon State Park and near the Colorado border, the new Bartlett Mesa Wildlife Management Area sits at more than 8,000 feet in elevation and offers sweeping views, abundant wildlife and access to a growing network of public trails.

The Department looks forward to working with partners, including New Mexico State Parks, The Nature Conservancy and the City of Raton, to determine future management of the property to best serve wildlife and conservation needs, as well as outdoor recreation interests.

Well that’s a wrap on another great local event…we were asked to partner up with the Vermejo ranch resort to provide a temporary camping facility for their athletes in the Charcoal Burner as a first time trial run for their annual event.we built a temporary platform that was a great location for people to sit around and make new friends, and we also provided a space for campers to cook meals…Sunday morning was a big hit with fresh crepes and Berry compote, home made lemon curd or a coconut drizzle.. (didn’t get any pics because none of them lasted long enough to photograph).. was a great event and we learned a lot to make next events bigger and better..and yes…that is a whirlpool bath on the deck…;)
