Be extremely cautious when driving at night when floodwaters are harder to see and anticipate.

If you come across floodwaters TURN AROUND DON'T DROWN! It is very difficult to determine depth and current and the roadway could be washed out or a wash our could be in progress.

Please also pray for those killed and those who will be impacted as rivers crest throughout the next week.

Floodwaters took 5 lives last night in South Central Illinois. We'll have the full story on News Three at 5 p.m.

The National Weather Service has issued a Flash Flood Warning. Please use extreme caution. In their prior watch statement they described this rain event as "potentially historic".
