And that’s all, folks, Rolling River Bike Rental is officially closed. ❤️

Thank you to all of our amazing customers who supported us over the years. What started as a small business turned into so many memories, conversations, laughs, and friendships. Some of you became regulars, and many of you became friends.

We truly had so much fun getting to know all of you, and we can’t thank you enough for the love and support you showed our family and business through the years.

After 5+ incredible years, we’ve made the difficult decision to close Rolling River Bike Rental.

This wasn’t an easy choice, but it’s the right one for our family as we shift our focus back to home and the next chapter ahead.

We are so grateful for the support from this amazing community. Red Wing has given us the opportunity to meet so many wonderful people, create lasting memories, and truly enjoy every season out on the trails. It has meant more to us than you know.

Before we officially close, we will be open for a short time this spring:

Open weekends April 10 – May 24
Fridays–Sundays | 10 AM – 5 PM

During this time, we’ll be:
• Selling used bikes
• Encouraging anyone with gift certificates to come use them
• Renting bikes while we’re still open

Please note: Red Wing’s access to the Cannon Valley Trail is currently closed for maintenance until June 2027, but the Hay Creek Trail is still open and a beautiful ride.

Thank you again for supporting our small business and our family over the years. We truly had the best time serving this community.

🚨 We are looking to get as many Santas on the slopes as possible this Saturday, December 20th for a photo op! 🎅📸

The Deal: If you show up to Welch Village in a full Santa costume (Santa jacket, Santa pants, Santa beard, Santa hat, etc) on Saturday, December 20th, you can obtain an All Day lift ticket for 50% off normal rates. You MUST be dressed in a FULL Santa costume, and no sharing of costumes is allowed. If you are a season pass holder and show up dressed as Santa, you will obtain a Welch Village gift card for a nominal amount that can be used anywhere in the Village.

Not a cheermeister? Come in a full Grinch costume (Mask, fur body, etc) and we will throw you the same deal, you grump. 🤨

This offer is only valid until Noon on Saturday, December 20th, and you must come to our indoor ticket windows in our Main Chalet to redeem the offer. Offer is limited to the first 100 fully suited Santas. Any numbers beyond that are still invited to the photo op - more on that below.

📸: All Santas (and Grinches) who show up are asked to come to the top of the new beginner quad chairlift (Joy Ride Quad) for a group skiing picture and video at 1pm. 🙌

Used E-Bikes for Sale!
We’re selling a limited number of our rental e-bikes — $600 each. All bikes have been regularly maintained and are ready for spring riding.

Stop by during our holiday hours (Thursdays & Fridays 11–4 and Dec 7 & Dec 14 from 11–4) or call to schedule a time to stop in.

We're excited to announce fair cross-country skiing conditions following the recent snowfall. After 6" of new snow, our staff has successfully groomed the trail for both traditional(classic) and skate skiing from Mile 1 (Archie Swenson Fields, in Cannon Falls) to Mile 13.5. Users are welcome to walk the trail from MIle 17.5 (Silvernale ) to Mile 19.7 (Old West Main) This section is plowed but not groomed for skiing. REMEMBER - a MN Ski pass is required for Cross Country Skiing on the CVT. The segment of the trail from Mile 13.5 to Mile 17.5 is closed to all for construction.
