We’ve all heard the proverb, “The early bird gets the worm!”
In layman terms, whoever arrives first has the best chance of success; some opportunities are available only to the first competitors.
We take that personally here and apply that mentality to all of our pickups and deliveries. We pride ourselves in being early and punctual at the absolute latest, to our scheduled time slots.
We do our upmost due diligence in making sure all PU / PO #’s are confirmed prior to arriving. Just to avoid any unforeseen circumstances / delays, to make sure everyone is on the same page and proper parties are updated.
This methodology has served us well as we’ve managed to keep detention times at an absolute minimum. As a result maximize profits via minimizing idling ultimately saving fuel and having remarkable turn around times.
A couple minutes verifying product, the destination, PU / PO #’s and the customer WILL save you headaches and down time. In most cases, if you’re lucky enough you can cut the line and get worked in prior to others! You’ll be surprised how far basic kindness and respect can get you…
