I took a few days off for a little family spring break, and for the first time in over 10 years, the business ran without me.

Brandon Heath Chandler handled everything and it went great.

So when I got back, I figured he deserved a spa day… so I booked 3! 😆

Here’s how this one turned out in Roseville.

This was a 4,000+ square foot home with 5 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms, an office, two garages, and a large yard. Nearly every area of the property was packed when we started.

Everything has now been cleared out and the home is ready for the next step. The realtor is scheduled for photos tomorrow and the property will be listed on Friday.

A lot of work went into this one, but it’s a great feeling seeing it completely cleaned out and comparing the before and after.

Yesterday we removed a large whirlpool bath bathtub and the full tile surround in this bathroom remodel project (It was a great day for an inside job).

We took extra time to lay down paper and plastic to protect the floors and surrounding areas, keeping everything as clean as possible during the demo. Even though the rest of the bathroom will be remodeled next month, we believe in leaving a space tidy and livable in the meantime.

The entire tear-out took about three hours and turned out clean and controlled. The homeowners appreciated how smoothly it went and how little disruption there was.

Our price came in right around what a large remodeling company quoted for demolition, but they decided to keep their money local and move forward with us. We’re grateful for that trust.

We’ll be heading back soon to demo the walk-in shower, double vanity, and tile window surround and seat.

Part 2 of this big estate cleanout in El Dorado Hills.

This clip is from the attic. Tight access, low clearance, dusty, with signs of rat and bat activity, and easily one of the most physically demanding parts of the house. To keep things moving, everything was tossed straight out the window and loaded continuously.

This was a 5,687 sq ft home, and by the time we wrapped up, we had removed 20,240 pounds of material over five long days, not including donations and recyclables.

Estate cleanouts like this can feel overwhelming. Our job is to handle the heavy lifting and logistics so families don’t have to.

Part 1 of a big estate cleanout in El Dorado Hills.

This was a 5,687 sq ft, 6 bedroom, 6.5 bath home and it was packed. Instead of one long, boring video, I’m breaking it into several short, boring ones.

This clip is from the loft. It started life as a craft and sewing room and slowly evolved into full-on storage. Everything from the upper floors was tossed off the balcony to keep things moving and save time.

Total hauled out was 20,240 pounds, not including donations and recyclables. Five long days and it was done.

Started the day with a pick up in Cameron Park and two pick ups in El Dorado Hills then a trip to the dump that took forever. Then we rolled into a hoarder cleanout with a late start.

Not ideal… but we still cleared this entire trailer in about 2.5 hours. Sometimes you just put your head down and get it done.

Estate cleanout for a friend and former neighbor. Even though we moved, I still help her out a few times a year with small pickups, usually at no charge or just enough to cover gas. Last week her mother passed away, and she reached out right away knowing we would take care of the cleanout the right way. Her mom held onto a lot, so it was a big project, but we were able to get the property cleared and ready for the next steps.

Grateful to be trusted during a tough moment. This kind of work means a lot, especially when it’s for a friend going through a difficult time.
