We have the harvest moon train ride this Saturday at 6 PM.
Looks to be good weather for the train seating is limited on these special trains so if you would like to ride, make a reservation or call the ticket office at 315-717-5969 for manual reservations and train information.

Our train today is sold out.
We still have tickets on sale for the train next Saturday. We also have tickets on sale for tomorrow at 3 PM.

Tickets have also been added for the month of October with a Saturday train at 3 PM and on Sundays the infamous afternoon ramble returns.
These afternoon, trains up the mink creek will depart at 4 PM to take advantage of the fading daylight.

🦫 A Beaver, a Dam & a Little Behind-the-Scenes Nature Preserve Adventure on the Richfield Springs Scenic Railway 🌿

Riders this past weekend got a unique glimpse of what goes on behind the scenes here at the preserve when Ben opened up the beaver dam at the beaver pond on Mink Creek to allow for increased water flow.

As a nature preserve, we make every effort to leave the wildlife and their environment undisturbed. However, we are permitted by the DEC to occasionally address beaver dams when high water levels and stagnant water create flow issues. These interventions are few and far between because protecting the natural environment and the animals that call it home is always our priority. 🌲🦫

Now comes the fun part… will our beaver friend repair the dam? 👀

The scenic Railway will be running two trains this weekend.
We have the afternoon train on Saturday at 4 PM one child ride free with each reservation. Interactive train experience for kids who like trains, both young and old!

Sunday at 3 PM the afternoon ramble next two weekends only w**e and spirit sampling also on these trains for only $12.
Open air adventure car with Tavern service throughout all of our train ride adventures .A nice selection of soft drinks and adult beverages to enjoy with your ride through the pristine wilderness and mink Creek.

This interactive railway adventure is the perfect way to spend the afternoon for junior railroaders, both old and Young alike. Narrated nature and history adventure.

Certainly seems to be a beautiful weekend.
Here are a few shots of our train out in the coach yard on track one preparing for the 3 PM train tomorrow.
The train will be making its way along the mink Creek with a 3 PM departure.

**W**E/ SPIRIT SUNDAY RAMBLE **

Pikachu is so excited about the rail extension being in full swing, we're celebrating with our first local w**e/ spirit tasting on the Sunday Ramble at 3pm! Join us for an enjoyable fall like ride with your choice of participating in the tasting or not.

Tavern car will be open throughout the ride. Boarding begins at 2:45pm. Tavern car is an open air car and we also offer a lounge car. Both are limited seating.

Kick back this Labor Day and relax while sampling some local beverages.

We are preparing to drop 1000 cross ties on the railroad next week. Here is the final preparation of the road bed rototilling the original Lackwanna railroad cinders that we use for our ballast during track construction
