46 years ago today, at age 28, I, along with co-worker Bob Stringer, started a little delivery business called Quicksilver Messenger Service. About a year in, Bob passed away from cancer. So there I was, scared sh**less, trying to figure it out on my own. But somehow we made it and here we are, 46 years in, and going strong. I owe a huge debt of gratitude to the many, many drivers and customers that believed in what we were doing and supported us down through the years. There were trying times to be sure; a name change occasioned by one of those times. Today 1st American Courier thrives and is growing steadily. My kids Lindsay and David are starting to take over the reins, and hopefully when we get to 50 years, I can step away. Here’s to 50 years, and maybe 50 more!
