“Having cancer is one of the worst clubs you can be in, but it has the best people.”

Ben Franklin Transit created the Pink Bus to highlight the people in our community affected by breast cancer. According to the American Cancer Society, about 1 in 8 women will develop breast cancer sometime in their life, so odds are you’re close to someone who has been affected by this disease. Visit the Tri-Cities Cancer Center Foundation’s website to see how you can support breast cancer survivors and thrivers in our community.

UPDATE 3:21PM - 22nd Ave Transit Center is now open and all bus routes are operating normally.

UPDATE 2:36PM - All buses have been released from 22nd Ave Transit Center. Service continues to run in Pasco, but buses are not stopping at 22nd Ave Transit Center. Buses will continue to divert to Edgar Brown Stadium as a temporary transit center.

ORIGINAL ALERT: Ben Franklin Transit has received word of a possible shooting event near Stevens Middle School. Routes 65T, 64/65, 68, 2X, & 225 are currently being held at 22nd Ave Transit Center. All incoming buses are being diverted to Edgar Brown Stadium.

We advise the public to stay away from the area, and we will post more info about how this affects service in Pasco as the situation unfolds.

Whoa! Heritage University Tri-Cities students can now use their student IDs to ride free on BFT!

This means that all students enrolled in local higher education institutions will be able to use their student IDs as bus passes, free of charge.

Have you seen our new pink buses around town? This October, Ben Franklin Transit gathered names of survivors, thrivers, and those affected by breast cancer to transform a bus and a Dial-A-Ride vehicle into tributes of hope and resilience.

We thank all of our participants whose printed names are displayed on our Driven by Hope buses, and appreciate the Tri-Cities Cancer Center Foundation for supporting local cancer patients and for their input on this project.
