I consider myself extremely lucky to get to have my son on the boat with me every day as a first mate, and today we got to share it with my daughter and her friends from St. Bonaventure, as well as Shea’s girlfriend .grieb The girls did a great job on the rods, and Shea worked his typical magic in the back of the boat. Great memories for Dad!!

Tagged out in NY. Two incredible gobblers taken on our property. The prior with my son on the calls, and this one solo wishing he was there! Big old warrior Tom that put up an incredible challenge. 23.8 pounds, 1 3/8” spurs, 10” beard. Thankful to say the least!

Put the smack down on a big Tom last weekend with working the calls. 21 pounds, 7/8” spurs, 9 1/2” beard. First time using the Concealment glasses and I have to say, they’re the real deal!

Can’t think of a more appropriate thought right now to get through such incredible sadness. Our beloved Laker Belle crossed the Rainbow Bridge yesterday morning surrounded by love and memories. From the moment she came into our lives, she has been the most incredible dog, friend, and family that we could have ever asked for. She may have loved her treats, but really all she ever wanted was lovins…and she wasn’t afraid to force your hand, nudging her head up into your arm and practically forcing you to pet her. She brought a smile and a sense of love to everyone she met, often spending days on the boat going from one charter client to another, just spreading joy. I never had to look far for her, because she never left my side. If I changed rooms, so did she. I’m going to miss my best friend, but I’m happy to know she’s no longer in pain. She joins Daisy, Kobe, Magic, and Satin, so I know she’s in great company. I love you Laker Belle, and you will forever be in my heart. Thanks for truly being man’s best friend, and certainly mine.
