THIS is what UNCAPPED is all about!

One of my favorite things lately has been watching everyone who stops by the heart to add their caps. Kids, families, friends, people passing through downtown… and apparently now even our four-legged community members are getting involved!

Seriously….how cute is this?!

Every time someone stops to add a handful of caps, it reminds me why we started this in the first place.

UNCAPPED was never just about filling a giant steel heart with plastic caps. It was about participation. Connection. Community.

It was about creating something where EVERYONE could contribute….whether you bring one cap, a bag full of caps, or you just stop by with your kids to add a few and be part of it.

And watching that actually happen has been SO much fun. ❤️

The elementary school challenge has brought a whole new level of excitement, the kids are collecting like crazy, and judging by these pictures… the word may have even reached the dogs.

Keep stopping by. Keep bringing the kids. Keep saving those caps.

Every person who adds something to this heart becomes a little part of its story.

And THAT is what makes it a true community project. ❤️

LOOK AT THAT HEART… IT’S STARTING TO FILL UP!

Our UNCAPPED Rochester Elementary School Challenge is officially underway, and we’re hearing that the kids are having a BLAST collecting! Some of these classrooms are getting pretty serious about their caps.

So if you have kids in one of our elementary schools …HELP THEM OUT! Start saving those plastic caps and and send them in!

Don’t have kids in the schools? WE STILL NEED YOU!

Save your caps and bring them right here to Postal Center USA! We’ll happily add them to the community collection and help keep that heart filling up.

Ask your coworkers. Tell Grandma. Raid Grandpa’s recycling. Get your neighbors involved. Save those water bottle caps, milk jug caps, soda caps, detergent caps, shampoo caps. If it’s a clean, dry plastic cap, we want it!

The school competition is fun, but UNCAPPED has always been about something bigger.

It’s about watching what happens when an entire community contributes one little piece toward something we create together.

So Rochester… KEEP THOSE CAPS COMING!

Another heartfelt thank you to Amex Shop Grants program and Main Street America….now that our grant-funded transformation is complete, I’m excited to share the results! Your support has helped transform our space and bring a little more beauty to our downtown. Here are a few before-and-after pictures so you can see the difference!

One of my absolute FAVORITE fall events is almost here ….PORCH FEST!

THIS SUNDAY Rochester turns into one BIG outdoor music festival!

From 12:00–4:30 PM, there’ll be 30+ bands and solo artists playing everything from rock and reggae to country, acoustic, Americana and more ….on stages and sidewalks throughout downtown!

And we are getting in on the action! We’ve got THREE bands taking our stage:

🔥 Hard Rock

🎸 1:30–3:00 — DIAMOND EDGE
⚡ Classic Rock

🎶 3:00–4:30 — BETTER ROADS
🌴 Rock • Reggae • Americana

And because great live music is even better with great food… Brickhouse Grill will be right here in our parking lot serving up the good stuff!

So grab your friends, bring the family, wander downtown, discover some great local musicians, grab something delicious to eat, and COME HANG OUT WITH US!

💗 NOW THIS is a whole lot of love wrapped up in blankets! 💗

A HUGE shoutout to our amazing friend Carol, who stopped by today with 10 absolutely BEAUTIFUL handmade knit blankets for Project Linus!

And get this… these latest creations bring Carol’s total to right around 100 handmade blankets donated over the past few years!

Carol, you are AMAZING! The time, talent, and love that goes into every single one of these blankets is truly something special. ❤️

Postal Center USA has proudly been a Project Linus drop-off location for the past FOUR YEARS! Project Linus collects handmade quilts, afghans, and fleece blankets and distributes them to local hospitals, facilities, and children in need — giving kids a little extra comfort, warmth, and love when they need it most.

And this mission is especially close to our hearts. Over the years, Project Linus has provided a brand-new handmade blanket to every adopted child through Hometown Holiday Helpers, the charity that Postal Center USA proudly partners with!

So… CALLING ALL CRAFTERS!
