The former Blackhawk Aviation (built in 1981) building and occupied many other businesses Such as Air Angels and most recently a local Accounting firm, torn down to make way for a new Corporate hangar.

"Memory Monday"
Whiteside County Airport in Approximately 1968 or 69 soon after additional runway length added seen in the background of the top photo to give us a 6,500 foot runway, better suited to the operation of Ozark Air Lines's FH-227B aircraft seen in both photos. The airline terminal was built in 1967 specifically for Ozark Air Lines as previously, Ozark's operations were operated out of the smaller hangar building co-occupied by Ozark and O'Rourke Flying Service.
Photos credits were from the RL Polk City Directories for Sterling/Rock Falls.
