Last week, local jurisdictions and the Illinois Department of Transportation celebrated the groundbreaking for the John Deere Road at I-74 reconstruction project. This project will convert the current interchange to a diverging diamond and add a lane in each direction on I-74.

This reconstruction project has been included in previous QC MPO Long Range Plans and is currently listed in the QC MPO Transportation Improvement Program with a total cost of $126 million. The total cost consists of $108 million in federal funds and $18 million in state funds.

This project will enhance safety throughout the John Deere Road and I-74 corridor.

Attend our upcoming Quad Cities Transit Summit!
Bi-State Regional Commission will host a transit summit Thursday, March 26, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Centre Station, 1200 River Drive, Moline, Illinois.
The purpose of the summit is to receive comments from the public and identify current travel choices and their effect on the region’s transportation services. The results will allow planners to better understand how and why people travel in the region.
