American Truckers Reaching Out to the Rest of the World

America’s strength lies in its people. America’s good people. Her hard working people. America’s strong people. Matt is an independent contractor for LFService Transportation LLC which is an Iowa based carrier that uses the services that Liberty Freight Service, Inc. provides. Relationships like these are the backbone to LFS.

This was Matt’s first load with LFS. He jumped in that truck and I ran for my phone. I hit the front door and he was pulling away. I whooped and hollered and he stopped. If you look at his face he is a bit disgusted. He was westbound and down. He is like me. Just loves his windshield time. That’s what its all about. The freedom of the road is a place many of us have grown to love and find comforting.

Groups like the ATA lobby congress in favor of large companies so small carriers can’t compete. That’s what the ELD is about. I started LFS to increase the goal of the law. Pushing back is exactly what we are doing. By pooling our skills and talents together we can scale with big business. Started by a trucker, for truckers. This industry has been tainted by lobbyists and power brokers. But there is something strong that binds us. Whatever it is, we like it. Freight is at an all time high. That is because there really is a driver shortage. And container yanking ain’t for everybody. Those rail yards are like those 1920’s San Francisco Streets.

Things are picking up at LFS. We worked a load today pickup in Chicago, deliver in Iowa, Run take rural route to load in the country and return to the rail. $2750 paid to the truck. Not bad for a days work. I’m building the company I waish was there for me when I bought the T660.
