FYI- Recreational floats in the harbor will be hauled November 4-6 (Wx depending). Please plan accordingly and remove all dinghies by October 25th. Please stop by the Harbormaster’s office with questions or concerns. Thanks for another great season.

Storm Alert. We are expecting a Nor’easter this weekend. The good news for Rockport is that the harbor is well protected from northeast wind and surf. Please check your pennants and chafe gear and make sure your batteries are charged and bilge pump is in good working order. Reach out to the Harbormaster’s office with any questions or concerns.

It’s been a sad week in Rockport Harbor and for the greater community. The season of boat hauling has begun and I keep expecting to see Walt skillfully maneuvering his truck down the hill to haul another boat. He was as dependable as the tide, trusted with folks most prized possessions and oh so capable. A friend to all, father to two boys that share his contagious smile and zest for life. He will be immeasurably missed but never forgotten. Fair winds and following seas, Walter. 💔

Don’t let a passing shower scare you!! C’mon down to the harbor at 5:00 to listen to Watts Hall Band. Popped! will be there with plenty of popcorn available, Josh and Dakotas Cantina and we will also have the Smothered Spud joining us this evening (food trucks will open at 4:00) C’mon down!

I have received quite a few questions about the mysterious boat floating in the air…

Repairs are being made to the granite base as well as the aid structure on Porterfield Ledge.
