There are plenty of things in this business that we can’t control. Weather, road conditions, breakdowns, and the challenges that come with moving crude oil every day.

But one thing we can control is whether or not we show up.

Humboldt and Prairie Field Services compete in almost every basin where we haul oil.

We compete for loads, drivers, mechanics, dispatchers, equipment, and even shop space. Some might even call us rivals.

So when Prairie reached out last week to ask how the daughter of one of our drivers, who is battling cancer, was doing and, more importantly, how they could help, it meant a lot.

There are some things bigger than business.
Bigger than competition.
Bigger than whose trucks are hauling what loads.

Shoutout to Prairie, and specifically their Utah Ops man, Ty Liston, for recognizing that and stepping up.

On the road, we may be competitors.
But on this one, we’re teammates.
