The S@HDM Crew was back on the road again — this time helping one of our seniors start a brand new chapter with a SENIOR LIVING TRANSITION all the way to Oakland, California.

A huge shoutout to Caring Transitions of Austin for doing an outstanding job packing everything up and getting it ready for the journey. Once the baton was passed, the S@HDM Crew got to work wrapping antique furniture, protecting family heirlooms, and stacking that truck tighter than grandma’s Tupperware cabinet.

Our stacker made sure every piece was tied down snug for the 1,749-mile trek so nothing shifted, rattled, or moved an inch along the way.
And because we know moving across the country can already feel stressful enough, we handled this move with a flat-rate price — no surprise charges, no funny business, and no scary final bill waiting at the destination.

All our customer had to worry about was telling us where she wanted everything placed so her new house could feel like home from Day One.

Yesterday marked Will’s final day rolling with the S@HDM Crew—and man, what a ride it’s been.

From day one, Will proved himself to be the kind of guy every crew hopes for: dependable, sharp as a tack, and willing to outwork just about anyone in the room (or on the truck). The kind of guy you don’t have to check on—you just know it’s handled.

Beyond that, Will served in the armed forces to protect the freedoms we all get to enjoy every day. That’s not something we take lightly, and it’s something we’ll always respect. We’re grateful—plain and simple.

One of the coolest parts of his time with us? Watching Will officially become an American while on the job. That’s the kind of milestone that sticks with you, and we’re honored S@HDM got to be part of that chapter.

We’re definitely gonna miss his “ask me anything” level knowledge—seriously, the guy’s like a walking encyclopedia with tennis shoes on.

This past weekend, Owner/Operator Jacob Walinski and his daughter Riely were out at the Double Creek Assisted Living Farmers Market in Round Rock—bringing a little extra S@HDM flavor to the community.

Not with trucks and dollies this time—but with some awesome custom digital print gear that Jake and Dan have been pouring their time and creativity into. (Turns out, we don’t just move homes—we make some pretty great stuff too.)

The S@HDM Crew is out and about today helping with two Senior Living Transitions! 💪

One of today’s moves is an internal transfer within a senior community. We help seniors relocate within their community all the time—sometimes to save on monthly costs, sometimes to be closer to the cafeteria, and sometimes to move into a space with a higher level of care.

Our crew can handle the whole process:
• Packing
• Moving
• Unpacking
• Picture hanging
• Haul-away
• TV mounting (depending on community guidelines)

Our goal is to re-create the room so it feels like home right away.

We also offer special rates for internal senior living moves, especially for studio setups.

The S@HDM Crew helped one of our seniors transition to a new community yesterday, and like most good moves… this one came with a little adventure. 💪

Our biggest challenge? A large table/bench built by her grandfather — the kind of family heirloom you don’t just leave behind.

The mission: get it into her new apartment.

The obstacle: three flights of stairs and a tight turn.

But the crew dug in, lifted, pivoted, and carefully maneuvered that beautiful piece until we finally coaxed it into its new place where it belongs. Sometimes moving isn’t just about furniture — it’s about protecting the memories attached to it.

In 13 years of moving, there has only been ONE piece of furniture we couldn’t fit into the room a customer wanted.

Yes… we still remember that couch.

And yes… the customer knows that if they ever want to get rid of it, we’ll haul it away for free.

Our memories are long. 😆

All kidding aside, we love a good challenge — especially when it means helping our customers settle comfortably into their next chapter.
