A small ship Gulf Coast cruise with a balcony stateroom and airfare included? Yes, please. ⚓

On December 14, 2026, American Cruise Lines has an 8-day Gulf Coast sailing from Pensacola, Florida to New Orleans, Louisiana, starting at $4,065 per person.

This itinerary is about more than pretty coastal views. Along the way, guests can experience the seafood, history, working docks, barrier islands, marshes, and local traditions that make the Gulf Coast so memorable.

Think shrimp boats, oyster bars, maritime stories, coastal towns, and the kind of regional food that tells you exactly where you are.

Stops include places like Mobile, Biloxi, Ocean Springs, Gulfport, Ship Island, and New Orleans — all from the comfort of a small ship experience.

Current promotion includes:
Balcony stateroom
Complimentary airfare
Complimentary hotel stay

Availability and pricing can change, so message me if you would like me to check current stateroom options.

I’m only 7 followers away from 100! 🎉

I started Brock’s World last September, and I would love to reach 100 followers before my first business birthday.

Slow and steady wins the race, right? 😂

If you know someone who loves travel ideas, helpful tips, pretty places, or cheering on a small business, I’d be so grateful if you would share this or invite them to follow along.

Small businesses need love too. 💙

A good trip is more than a confirmation number.

Yes, the flights, hotels, resorts, cruises, excursions, and transfers matter.

But so do the details around them.

What happens if your flight changes?
Are you booking something just because it looks good online?
Do you understand the tipping practices, local customs, and little differences where you’re going?
Have you thought about travel insurance, because even a small disruption can affect the whole trip?
Does the pace, comfort level, and overall fit actually match how you like to travel?

And this is why my training and research never really stop. I’m always learning more through supplier trainings, destination resources, travel updates, and real travel experiences so I can better help people think through the details.

That’s where I can help.

I don’t just send a confirmation number and disappear. I help look at the pieces, ask questions, and think through the parts that are easy to miss.

Because a good trip is not just booked.

It’s planned.

If you have a trip in mind and want help sorting through the options, I’d love to help.

Did you know my 2027 Balkan Discovery Group Getaway is more than a river cruise?

This itinerary starts with a Danube river cruise aboard the Avalon Passion, then continues as a guided land journey into Romania and Transylvania.

That means you get the ease of river cruising, plus the chance to go inland to places like Brasov, Bran Castle, Sinaia, and Bucharest.

I’m sharing more about the trip, the places we’ll visit, and what makes this group trip special inside my private Brock’s World Group Getaways Facebook group.

If you’d like to follow along and learn more about this 2027 group trip, you can request to join here:

There’s still time to explore during America’s 250th celebration year — and 2026 has some really fun guided vacation options across North America.

I’ve been looking at a few Globus trips that caught my eye:

🎈 Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta
Hot air balloons, Southwest culture, Santa Fe, and one of the most colorful events in the country.

🍁 Classic Fall Foliage
New England scenery, coastal Maine, Acadia National Park, Vermont, New Hampshire, and all the cozy fall travel feelings.

🌹 Tournament of Roses
Reserved Rose Parade seating, New Year’s in California, and the chance to experience something many people have only watched on TV.

❄️ Winter in Montréal & Québec
European-style winter charm, Québec City, Montréal, markets, food, history, and beautiful old-world atmosphere.

🌊 Canadian Maritimes & Scenic Cape Breton
Lighthouses, coastal villages, Cape Breton scenery, Peggy’s Cove, and Atlantic Canada without having to map every stop yourself.

These are the kinds of trips where guided travel can really make sense because the timing, routing, hotels, transportation, and sightseeing are already pulled together.

Which one would you pick?

Message me the trip name, and I’ll check dates, pricing, and availability for you.

Tuesday Tastebud Tease: Jamaican Oxtail

I’ll be honest — when I heard "oxtail," my first thought was that's not for me. 😅

Enter John.

He had me taste it in Jamaica, and I have to admit… it was wonderful!

Tender, rich, flavorful, and way better than the name had prepared me for.

Also, I learned that “rice and peas” is what I would have called rice and beans… so clearly I was learning before I even took the first bite.

That’s what I love about traveling. Sometimes the foods you are unsure about end up being the ones you remember most.

Would you try oxtail, or is the name enough to scare you off?

🏴 Scottish Highlands & Islands with Globus

Scotland is one of those places that already feels a little legendary — castles on cliffs, misty Highlands, mysterious lochs, old battlefields, whisky distilleries, and island scenery that looks like it belongs in a movie.

This 14-day guided Globus tour begins and ends in Glasgow and takes you through the Lowlands, Highlands, and islands, including Edinburgh, Inverness, the Isle of Skye, Orkney, Mull, Iona, Loch Ness, and more.

What I like about this itinerary is how much is included beyond just “seeing Scotland.” You get guided sightseeing in Edinburgh with Edinburgh Castle and the Scottish Crown Jewels, visits to Culloden Battlefield, Dunrobin Castle, the Orkney Islands, the Isle of Skye, whisky distillery experiences, a traditional fish and chips lunch in Ullapool, and even your choice of included excursions in Inverness.

Select 2026 departures are still available, with pricing starting from $5,699 per person.

Message me and I’ll send details, dates, pricing, and deposit information.

Pricing and availability are subject to change.

🇩🇪 Munich: More Than Oktoberfest

In honor of John’s hometown — and our own trip there this September — let’s talk about Munich.

Munich is known for its architecture, museums, culture, and of course, Oktoberfest. But there is so much more to this Bavarian city.

Olympics enthusiasts can visit Olympic Park, home of the 1972 Summer Olympics, where you can see the stadium, swim hall, Olympic Tower, and a poignant memorial to the Israeli athletes who lost their lives during the Games.

And if you do not expect to see surfing in Germany, Munich has that too. The Eisbach wave in the Englischer Garten is a manmade river wave where surfers practice year-round, right in the middle of the city.

For fairytale scenery, Neuschwanstein Castle is one of Bavaria’s most famous day trips from Munich. Built by King Ludwig II, the “Fairytale King,” it is one of the most visited castles in Germany.

And at Christmastime? Munich feels magical. From the traditional Christmas market at Marienplatz to the lively atmosphere of Tollwood and the quirky charm of Schwabing, there is nothing quite like sipping Glühwein while browsing stalls filled with crafts, food, and holiday lights.

Munich is historic, cultural, festive, and full of personality.

Today is National Selfie Day… and Father’s Day. 📸💙

So this one is for the dad selfies.

The goofy ones.
The squinty sunshine ones.
The “everybody squeeze in” ones.
The family photos that may not be perfect, but somehow become the ones you love most.

Because sometimes the best part of a trip — or any special day — isn’t just where you were.

It’s who was standing next to you.

Happy Father’s Day — and happy National Selfie Day.
