Our Black Beauty is looking for her own human! Suds is a 15 year old registered Anglo Arabian sired by Multi National Champion (And Breyer Model) KB Omega Fahim.

Allowed to mature before started under saddle, this little lady loves to move out on trails. Her perfect person is probably an older youth or small adult who wants to enjoy trail riding and possibly some introductory endurance competition.

Always barefoot, Suds has worn hoof boots for trails, but doesn’t generally need them for rides of 10 miles or less. Conditioned for a 30-mile LD last year, she didn’t get to compete due to a rider injury. After quiet rides all winter waiting for the human to recover, a scraped leg took her out of competition this year. Now she’s healed, albeit with some scarred skin that in no way reflects her inner beauty or soundness. It’s the perfect time for her to find her new person and spend the winter getting acquainted before next year’s longer rides!

Suds is easy to catch, and loads, clips, ties and is easy to trim. Easy keeper and does best in full turnout situation. She’s been ponied from other horses and been the lead horse. She’ll go out alone with a confident rider, but will toss her head and can be balky out alone with someone more timid. She’s always happy to go out with a friend or group, and can ride in the lead or anywhere in the pack.

While she’s not being given away, a loving home is our priority. negotiable to the right person or family, and Offers considered. We’d like to see her settled in her new home before the rush of our own move. Transportation available if needed. PM Wendy with additional questions and to schedule a visit.

In between installing the Bimini on the easy entry cart yesterday, Wendy also harnessed the Suffolk team Sampson and Ember for some partner work. Ember was pretty slow due to her fresh trim and “itchy ovaries”, and Sampson is much more forward from all his time partnering the Clydes. But they were calm in ground driving, so they got hitched to the team forecart for some pasture driving. Sam was much easier to slow down and Ember was more comfortable in the dirt, so they actually worked together pretty nicely! Looking forward to lots more shenanigans with these two!

Today was full of horse work again! An obstacle lesson with Laura at Running I and then home to work the “Baby Clydes” in the roundpen. Yes, Cali counts as a baby. She might be a mama, but she’s inexperienced in all the other horsey things.

Today Annie wore her harness again for some ground driving in the roundpen. Cali tried on a Ba****ck pad. Both girls got some practice on the “pick me up” command. Even though neither is trained to ride, it’s nice that they are learning to bring themselves to the fence for scratching and petting. It will make life much easier on all of us when they are trained to ride.

Ember got out for a hoof boot trial, but the ones we had on loan are too big. Too small for Liam though.

Shifted gears today. Saddle horses got body work, so the big beasts got some harness time. Sampson got back to driving as easily as if he’d never left. He was a great buddy to Rocki as she gets closer to pulling for real.
